Stade Rennais introduced the new 10/11 away kit made by Puma in a friendly game against Nantes.
The Puma top re-uses the black brush stripes to draw a "Gwenn ha Du", the most commonly used flag of the region Brittany (Bretagne), created in the 1920s, inspired by the flag of the USA and later popularised in the 1960s by the supporters of Stade Rennais Football Club.

how can 1 sponsor on the front & 1 on the back could be too many ??
normal clubs only need 1 sponsor on the front, otherwise the club looks poor..
on the sleeve it's the logo of the french league, not a sponsor !!
So that will do:
- one sponsor on the sleeves
- one on the short
- one on the front
- one on the back.

Agree. I like the flag concept, but it's sort of hidden by this huge "S". Unfortunately, Rennes has worn this "S" sponsor for 4 years now and it's become a distinctive sign on otherwise fairly dull kits (plain red/plain white/plain black).
It would've been great to skip the "S" on this kit. And the back sponsor BLOT as well.
At least they didn't ruin the black&white theme with colorful sponsors.
Well, but Newcastle uses vertical stripes and not horizontal. But it would be nice, if Newcastle would have choosen these Puma-Africastyle-shirts. Take the Ghana away shirt, make it black and white and you would have a much better Newcastle shirt, then they will have next season.
You can say that again.

One of the best I've seen on this site!
- one on the short

Would Salma Hayek wear it in Route de Lorient Stadium ?
Colors are traditional, but the flag is the killer.
