Stade Rennais 10-11 away puma kit

Stade Rennais introduced the new 10/11 away kit made by Puma in a friendly game against Nantes.

The Puma top re-uses the black brush stripes to draw a "Gwenn ha Du", the most commonly used flag of the region Brittany (Bretagne), created in the 1920s, inspired by the flag of the USA and later popularised in the 1960s by the supporters of Stade Rennais Football Club.

Thanks to Antho

how can 1 sponsor on the front & 1 on the back could be too many ??

it has also sponsors on the sleeves...

normal clubs only need 1 sponsor on the front, otherwise the club looks poor..

With all those sponsors it seems a cyclist shirt.

on the sleeve it's the logo of the french league, not a sponsor !!

No, it's an association logo ELA, sponsored by zidane.
So that will do:
- one sponsor on the sleeves
- one on the short
- one on the front
- one on the back.

When you think the owner is one of the richest guy in the world (Bernard Pinault)...

The sponsor on the sleeve is ELA, it's a foundation against some sickness

Agree. I like the flag concept, but it's sort of hidden by this huge "S". Unfortunately, Rennes has worn this "S" sponsor for 4 years now and it's become a distinctive sign on otherwise fairly dull kits (plain red/plain white/plain black).
It would've been great to skip the "S" on this kit. And the back sponsor BLOT as well.
At least they didn't ruin the black&white theme with colorful sponsors.

Well, but Newcastle uses vertical stripes and not horizontal. But it would be nice, if Newcastle would have choosen these Puma-Africastyle-shirts. Take the Ghana away shirt, make it black and white and you would have a much better Newcastle shirt, then they will have next season.

The design actually does a good job at making that massive sponsor look OK. The flag design in the shoulder is clever.

Newcastle should have adopted this styling (obviously with vertical striping) and used the patch at the top right side for a washout of the crest, would have looked much better than the awful effort that puma have made this season.

Always liked Stade Rennais - I used to go to Brittany every summer. If I was going back there this summer I would have bought one of these.

Not bad. Would fit in at the Tour de France. I actually like the way that a pattern fills in the upper left shoulder area.

Glad to see Stade Rennais take a omnipresent Puma template and make it uniquely their own with a cool nod to the history of the club and region.

One of the best I've seen on this site!

Obviously, one of the ugliest jerseys of the year in Ligue 1...

Would Salma Hayek wear it in Route de Lorient Stadium ?

Great shirt. The folks @ PUMA really seem to have thought about bringing on sth new.
Colors are traditional, but the flag is the killer.
