Werder Bremen 10/11 Nike Home Kit

Here is the official Werder Bremen home kit for the 2010/11 season produced by Nike.

The shirt is two shades of green, with a darker green at the top of the shirt and a lighter shade on the bottom and on the back. Their is a white seperator of the colours accross the center of the shirt much in the same fashion as Slovenia's shirts. Except this pattern seems more random rather than meaningful like the Triglav pattern for Slovenia.

The font on the back is similar to that used in the new PSG and Celtic shirt with corners are 45 and 90 degree angles, giving quite a solid look to the kit.

One thing that Bremen fans will see as a bonus is the total abolition of orange from the home shirt. Last seasons shirt also contained no orange except for when the official name and numbers were printed on they were totally orange. If you're wondering why so much fuss about orange, well so you know, orange has no history with the team at all, it was just a colour introduced as a marketing ploy, which the fans are adament in stopping.

kind of weird. i dont know what to think about it. the style of numbers and letters is great but...the front is just weird. i liked orange. this shirt is just weird because werder has no connection to this white seperator like slovenia has.

With the little difference, that that symbol on Slovenia's jersey actually had a meaning.
The symbol there resembles the Triglav mountains, one of the main symbols of the Slovenian nation.

This lightning strike here simply resembles a pretty shitty jersey

I'm sorry for you, to have had to carry the sight of that jersey in your mind for all these years

@tomtom: I absolutely agree with you!

I don't think I have ever seen a jersey, as ugly as this one.
Year in and year out, Werder Bremen has always been a good provider of some of each season's finest jerseys... not this year.

Shame on you Nike!

no point in having the one with 'Ozil 11' on the top on display ... he won't be there next season after his performances at the World Cup

Why, will he jeopardise his international success by joining a PL club? Look how poorly the PL players have performed - even those that have since left, like Ronaldo, seem to be carrying the after-effects!

Shirt is a poor lazy attempt - would have called it a commendable, daring design ifg I hadn't already seen the Slovenia kit.

C'est horrible!!

That is a cross between the Australian and Slovenian jerseys, and True Colours rightly reminded us it's also a bit like an old Celtic number... close to the worst I've ever seen. Thank God Arsenal's turned out far better than this one!

This kit...hmm i dunno. It creates a mixed reaction, which i suspect Nike were hoping this year for some reason...maybe after showing little creativity with kits for past seasons. This years kit releases by Nike i guess are showing more creativity which is fantastic to see however with this Werder Bremen kit its just...brilliantly odd. Very unusual yet its a not a cringe, the numbers and lettering and smart and stylish and the colours of the kit tie in perfectly. I dont see any connection with that white slovenia styled jagged and pointy jazz to the club but that doesnt matter really, its just design. In a nutshell i like this, its odd, its unique and to be fair ive been on this for a long while now and many users say the same thing "more originality nike!" or "Nike lacks in unique" well as far as Nike's "big clubs" go their is defonately somethings very drastic, unique and odd this season...and i for one is not complaining.

Nike what are you playing at...
i noticed they were going retro to bring back shirts similar to clubs golden era, but this looks like one of the early 90's throwback shirts where they tried to keep 80's designs going. im sorry for dissagreeing with the majority but ive watched werder bremin and theyre great, but the shirt isnt good enough. nike fail

After Nike handled the 09/10 home kit so brilliantly, this is a little disappointing. Not great, but it is growing on me, and the numbering is excellent.

It would have been nice if the Targobank logo was a little smaller and lower on the shirt.

First off, 99% of you people on here complain about every kit that is revealed. Know one ever seems to be like anything. Are you people all fashion disigners or something? Sheesh!

Anyway, I realy think I love it. I mean, it's different then 99% of the kits you will see but the colors make the kit. I would have been really cool if they did the logo in orange and the number and name in the back in orange.
