Wigan Athletic F.C. 10/11 Mi-fit Home Kit

Here is the new Wigan Athletic home kit for the 2010/11 Premiership season produced by Mi-Fit.

Wigan have gone through their fair share of manufacturers over the past 10 years Adidas, Umbro and Vandanel to name a few, now however due to business circumstances, Wigan have gone to producing their kits with an 'inhouse' manufacturer, Mi-Fit.

The shirt see's the club switching from a striped design last season to a singular stripe running down the left side of the shirt and continuing onto the shorts. The sleeves are also of an asymmetrical design with the right containing a white stripe and the left being plain blue.

Latics manager Roberto Martinez is delighted with the kit. He said: "From the players point of view, they always look for comfort first, and durability and this a very nice shirt.

"It follows the club traditional blue and white and I think the fans will like it. It is a kit worthy of our Wigan Athletic!"

The new kit was worn for the first time last night against Oldham at Boundary Park and will be available to buy from the club shop from August 10th.

I like the stripe going all the way down to the shorts! It makes the kit stand out more. And Wigan did a good job of keeping their traditional look while changing it up at the same time.

OMG, is this a wigan kit with a sponsor Logo on the front or a 188bet-kit, worn by wigan.

The shirt would be really nice but now it's tottaly ruined by the sponsor print. Awful!

Don't know who the captian is but the GK is Ali Al-habsi, an excellent player on loan from Bolton

The captain is Emmerson Boyce (right back/center back), and you are correct on the GK - Ali Al-Habsi

The orange sponser is a little off putting though.

Actually a decent kit, maybe an unknown, inhouse brand, but Ilike it, and I've seen worse from Nike, Umbro, Adidas(Lyon paisley 3rd kit looks like the old screen savers) and LCS (At least Wigan have designs on thier home kit.) I wonder how long they will stick with MyFit?

What's with the Keeper wearing Vandanel socks though?

I like the kit but do have an issue with the asymmetrical sleeves.

Baring in mind how pedantic the law makers are about stripes on the backs of shirts I am amazed they allow different colours on each sleeve, stripes and hoops I am OK with as they are standard but what happens when Wigan play Bolton, Fulham or Spurs? will a change be needed cos of one white sleeve?

Because Dave Whelan would sell his own mother if he thought it'd make him more money.

Mi-Fit? They may as well just come out and say it's Dave Whelan sports wear PLC and have done.

Can you tell I don't like Dave Whelan?

Agree with Harun. Three years ago they had terrific kits. You always know you're scraping the bottom of the barrel when you go with Vandanel and this is only marginally better.

Mi-Shiit more like!

Though it's quite fitting for a team that conceded 80 league goals last season to have a suitably crap kit to go with it....

Adios Wigan, you are going down!

I usually hate Wigan shirts. They usually look like complete shit. And while this one is hardly one of the best in the Premiership, it's actually not as bad as I expected. I still have a lot of complaints against it, but there are a couple things about it I actually like.
