Manchester United 2011/12 Nike Away Shirt Leaked

This is what appears to be the new Manchester United away shirt for the 2011 - 2012 English Premier League season manufactured by Nike.

The shirt is blue with black hoops which themselves contain hoops of a darker shade of blue. The collar is round and black in colour.

Quoting Tim1902:
United have been wearing blue since 1902 - three years before Chelsea were even formed.

Tim, Very well, Your knowledge on your percious teams kits is brilliant, it does not escape the fact that this does not work for man utd, they have never had hoops on thier kits, and they have never had a kit to that extent of ugliness.
ugly shirt, i am tempted to say my chelsea home kit is nicer, the subtle hoops work better, and it is complimented this year by white on the shoulders , for once

00-01 away shirt, I believe, was blue with white pin stripes in a hoop formation. Well we'll see which blue kit is nicer when we have some gold badges on the sleeves come next season :-*

99-00, and its a little different ...

To bentley95: united have also had hooped away kits in : 1932,1934,1936.(also had third kit in 1936 with a change of shorts) the most recent "hooped" kit was in 2003-2005 with a white nike kit with black and red hoops. and if that doesnt shut you up united had a hooped HOME kit between march-may 1934. :-* "SAY NOTHING"

Bentley95: United have had pin hoops on away shirts like the 1999-2000 one and the one mentioned above. Umbro didn't mind being inventive with our kits in their time, and I don't mind Nike doing the same.

As fo the never having an uglier kit, the grey one from 1995 (judging from your ID and terrible grammar and spelling, the year you were born, so unsurprising you don't remember it) , the blue one from 1992-93, the last Adidas away kit from 1990-92 and the 1996-98 home and third are all worse designs than this one in my opinion. We've had some awful kits over the years. It's hard to tell at the moment, but I think this will look great on the players.

Doesn't work? Did your umbro away kit of about 4/5 years back that resembled a packet of benson and hedges cigarettes work for chelsea? You are the last team to talk about horrendous shirts, this is fine. Calm down and stop being bitter.

lest we forget that electric yellow abomonation they had 07/08. or the numerous shocking goalkeeping jerseys. or this years "macaw" green with a blue stripe down the middle. what i will say though is that i hope this isn't uniteds new away kit because it is, well, fugly in my opinion.

1. Take caps lock off.
2. You should try spelling the word 'with', rather than 'wiv' - stops you looking like quite such an imbecile.
3. It really is amazing how many non United fans spend so much time thinking about, and admiring our kits. Your necks must get really sore, what with all this looking up longingly at the club at the top of the pile!

If this shirt are going to be the away-shirt for the nest PL-season, I will be happy for the design from Nike.

Quiet cool with the colors, I think.
As long Man United has blue, black or white away-shirts I`m glad. :-)

I support my local team. It just happens that they are United. Who do you support Pete, and do you make these comments on every new Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Barca, Milan, Inter, Real etc shirt too?

I've supported United since I was five years old (1991/92 season) and always will do, no matter what happens with the team, the debt, etc. I'm pretty sure you get people all over the country supporting Arsenal and Chelsea as well, particularly the latter after the money and maiden EPL title. If a team is winning, they'll always attract glory hunters but MUFC have real fans too =]

Bad picture to even have a good opinion on it. Need to see more to give an opinion.

Really hope Nike does a nice pinstripe kit for United like they've done for Arsenal in the last couple of seasons. Pinstripes are classy. Maybe for the home kit they have red on red pinstripes and away black kit with red or grey pintripes.

this has to be a joke! Is it a cheap training jersey? Absolute bollox, especially when you see what France got... piss take. And this following an equally shite away shirt this season, no imagination, very run of the mill stuff.... FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL

Liverpool come out with a lovely away strip and Man United come out with this dross!!! Lets hope they get beaten black and blue next season. It is possibly the worst kit I have seen. Why can't they replicate the 'maple leaf' blue kit from the 90's. That was a lovely kit.

Every United kit since 1997 has had a registered trademark sign near the crest. http:[email protected]/sets/72157619019996177/

There is a fantasy third kit somewhere that's half green and yellow... someone actually made the real thing as a fantasy kit. I can't seem to find a picture now, but it's pretty easy to imagine. Aon was in black.

Considering that Man Utd have one of the most extensive brand protection operations in football spanning the entire globe, they don't seem to be doing a great job of preventing leaks, which of course plays right into the hands of counterfeiters. :-?
