Looks very nice. Ajax design is very monotonous. Its not like a team that use stripes, the designers can use 4 stripes one year and 7 the next year..... But Ajax its only one "large stripe" always, so designers must focus on adding special details on the shirts, to make them look different and fresh every year. This Logo evolution and the details on the sleeves are a total hit.

i like the collar, it's a progressive idea.

i don't know why they persist with cutting the 3 stripes off, it's an idea that looks very tired. take the stripes to the end of the sleeve or don't bother.

not the worst adidas design this year but a long way behind the germany shirts.

The red stripe is far too wide/broad. Ajax have the best strip design of all, it's unique and instantly identifiable as 'Ajax', unlike, say, clubs with a plain red/blue/white shirt which could be any number of teams. But when you look at the iconic kit of the 70s or the 1987 Cup Winners' Cup winning classic you'll see that it was a white shirt with a (much thinner) central red stripe. Now the red stripe has become too thick, and the shirt (especially from the back) looks like a red shirt with white sides and sleeves.

I actually like this shirt, but it could and should be so much better, and they really should return to the proper 70s/80s logo

How much variation do you want? Any Ajax shirt will be similar with the design. Just like Celtic with their hoops. You can only get so much in terms of design. It's the little touches that make it different. It's just a shame that the manufacturers want to keep on bringing out different kits to milk the fans for money.

When your team has a classic design element like Ajax does you can't really change much. Although I don't remember the back having the red on it in recent years, but I'll admit I don't really follow Dutch club football. The four old crests on the back is a fantastic touch. Job well done!

kit in itself is really good, love the old logos on the back, and the collar. The "we are Ajax" on the sleeve really makes the shirt special to the club which i think is great. However, that individuality is kinda taken away by the 3 stripes, I know that they are adidas's signature addition, but on classic kitgs like this, i think they would be better without :) but thats just my opinion :)

For a club that cant do much with their kits due to the famous strong tradition of the red centre and all white, which is their symbolism of the clubs entire identidy and culture...this is a awsome effort. The watermarks on the bottom of the sleeves is a lovely touch, the gold stars above the badge goes so well against the red..only thing that i have a problem with (and this is with Adidas kits in general) is the stripes. Why cant they just have "the stripes" simply flow from top to the bottom of the sleeves? Adidas started to use this quarter cutt off i think in 2008? And i for one think its a farce, to me it just ruins the stripes for what they stand for..it doesnt ruin the kit completely, just feel that if Adidas just reverted back to their roots i think they could be that extra bit of awsome. But in saying is some of Adidas kit releases this year have been fantastic :)
