Ajax Amsterdam 11/12 Adidas Home Shirt Leaked

This is what appears to be the new Ajax shirt made by adidas for the 2011/12 Eredivisie season.

Nothing much really changes with Ajax's home kit but that's one reason why it's one of the most iconic in world football another of course is their accumulation of trophies and world class players who have worn the shirt.

Changes from last season include a return to a folded collar after having a round neck for one season as well as red cuffs and the famous red band returns to going over the top of the shoulders of the shirt.

I think I´m one of the very few people who get really upset about 90% of the football jerseys with 'polo' collars. Very little stuff with this kind of collar pleases me nowadays. This is the 'ultimate' ajax/adidas kit for me, which they should use for, like, 10 years: http://www.evangelistasports.com/images/P/jersey_adidas_ajax_home_2007.jpg

Collars should be on a football shirt. Otherwise it's like a pyama or a t-shirt made of very heavy fabric.

This is my adidas favourite, almost the same with a collar!

Absolutely shocking.

No creativity what so ever.

Look at Nike's France kits and then you look at the new adidas kits and there worlds apart.

real 6's and 7's by adidas.

0 # 2011-04-05 23:31
I agree that Nike is miles ahead, but this is a home kit so there's not much room for creativity. Adidas' real fault is forcing kits into cookie-cutter templates and insisting on keeping the three stripes on the sleeves.

The shorts and socks are white which makes the white way more dominant.

@ Godenzoon: This is a real shirt, it uses the campeon 11 style which was made by adidas for 2011. (look at the round seams around the 3-stripes: most 2011 adidas jerseys have this)

If it is the real shirt for next season...shame on adidas. Perhaps the best adidas kits were the 01-02 and 02-03 season shirts since then things have gone stale.
How about a return to umbro or Kappa.

about the same exact thing as the new upcoming 11/12 real madrid jersey.different colors but almost the same template. LAZY ADIDAS. just said, " oh just change the real madrid one a little and add red/ white" and done. probably took them about 13 minutes to finish this jersey. not saying its bad but come on ADIDAS. :-) :-) :-) :-)

Decent. I like the red band going over the top of the shoulders, like it's supposed to be. I hate the Adidas lines, and as someone said earlier, it looks more like a Red with White shirt now instead of White with Red. Look at the red band in the 70s, it was small as hell. It keeps getting bigger and bigger now (mainly cause of Aegon sponsor, ABN was upside down allowing the red band to stay small) and now you got the ugly Adidas stripes as well as some other red ring around the sleeves. Meh... why not go back to Umbro? I love some of their 90s shrits. And with Umbro you at least don't have to sell your soul to the devil and put stupid stripes on the shirt which don't belong there.

+4 # 2011-04-04 11:52
Yes we stick mostly to the authentic design because it's our holy tenue, the colors in which we conquered the world once. Real Madrid does the same, same for Barcelona basicly although they variate in design sometimes, but it basicly comes down to the same thing. Same goes for AC Milan, Inter Milan, AS Roma, Bayern Munchen, Manchester United, FC Liverpool etc etc

So it's stupid to say that it's negative that we stick mostly to the authentic design every season.

Antoe, isn't that the same with Real Madrid shirts, Liverpool shirts, Bayern Munchen shirts (except for just this season's shirt as it's the jubilee shirt), AC Milan shirts, Inter shirts and so fricking on.

To others it's perhaps not thrilling, to the supporters it is. We live Ajax, and we will always stay loyal to the club. To us the original shirt is beautiful, and classic.

Really, let the home shirt of Manchester United be pink, just to have another type of shirt. It's rhetoric is useless.

The only good thing of this shirt is that the red band goes over the shoulders again, like its supposed to be!!

Its even stated in the rules of Ajax, that the shirt has a red band over the shoulders, this season Adidas just did not give a mierda and they did white over the shoulders. It can be Adidas or Nike or whatever company, I dont know how they even dare to screw up iconic shirts all the time!!

Money money money!

Definitely very different from 10/11. I personally really liked the 10/11 because it looked more professional. In general, I love the adidas stripes. I don't like the 11/12 because the stripes are coming out of the red orbit like the 09/10 kit. Also, the red sleeve ends look really bad when someone wears it with a white base layer with a short sleeve jersey. I think it's a shame Ajax doesn't have the stripes on the socks and shorts when they play in the eredivisie or knvb beker!

Eens AJACIED, altijd AJACIED!
