birmingham city xtep third football shirt

This is the new Birmingham City 11/12 third football shirt made by Xtep.

As Blues prepare to enter a new era, the club announced a different approach to shirt sponsorship.

Blues will be offering the advertising space on the front of our playing shirts on a match-by-match basis.

The unprecedented agreement will allow flexibility throughout the 2011/12 campaign and help the club to maximize commercial revenue while also building strong relationships with a wider range of local, national and international businesses.

Should the circumstances allow then the club will also be in a position to make a public show of support to certain charitable causes.

Overwhelming feedback from supporters has also made it clear that a large number of Bluenoses want the choice to be able to buy this season's strips without a sponsor so the club is now delighted to be able to deliver that retro look.

Thanks to Big Will and Harry

Very "lower league". I like the home kit but this is rather poor.

so yeah a different take on sponsorship is being so crap nobody want to sponsor you. and then trying to sell match by match sponsorship so most of the season they will have some poor unsuspecting charity on. lets hope it isnt acorns....

I quite like it. Simple and a retro feel. I have been impressed with the Brum shirts this season plus because of the way they are doing sponsors on a match-by-match basis I guess if you buy the shirt it is without sponsors, which is even better!

Love the retro feel of this shirt.I remember int the late 70's/early 80's when Brum wore an adidas strip of yellow shirts, shorts and socks with blue trim.

"The unprecedented agreement will allow flexibility throughout the 2011/12 campaign and help the club to maximize commercial revenue while also building strong relationships with a wider range of local, national and international businesses."

Unprecedented? West Brom and Middlesbrough had similar deals in the last few seasons, so it's hardly unprecedented, is it?

Very smart. Looks a bit like the classic yellow pin-striped Forest away shirt of the early 80's. Missing the three-stripes, though.

Maybe having fan feedback wasn't such a good idea...

You are what you wear and this looks perfectly for a lower league team..
