Blackburn Rovers 2011/12 Umbro Away Shirt Leaked

This is what appears to be the new Blackburn Rovers away kit for the 2011/2012 English Premier League season manufactured by Umbro.

The new shirt which is as yet sponsorless due to contract negotiations is a bright yellow colour with black sleeves.

New shorts and socks are expected to be black and yellow respectively.

Thanks to Danny

I'm guessing that leaks like this come from inside the club, and a member of staff manages to sneak in and snap a pic of the new shirt with their phone or something. Would it be too much to ask that the photo could be of a human sized shirt? This one looks like it would fit a gorilla! Interesting choice of colours though. And can we assume from the lack of sponsor that the ties with Crown Paints has come to an end?

not necisarrily because most shirts are given in as a design, kit designers never present shirts for the first time to the club with sponsors on them

Yeah, shame because Crown is based in Darwen, near Blackburn, and looked good on the shirts. Hopefully the new sponsor wont be Venkys - their logo is awful.

On the kit, quite similar in style to the template that umbro designed for Santos and Atletico Paranaense (I was thinking that umbro might have just slapped a blackburn crest on AP's home and just made that the new away shirt), but this does look quite good in yellow and black.

And they might keep the red shirt from last season, just in case they draw Shrewsbury or Torquay in the cup and they need a change.

potentially a very nice shirt. not sure what sponsor they have this season though which could make or break. I do like the kit so far, Umbro often make smart strips

I don't know, it's different. It looks like it could be a GK shirt if it were long sleeved...

I would think this isn't an official shirt (the design may be right, but the shirt is an obvious knock off).

The "Tailored by..." tag usually present on their jerseys is absent

The shirt is obviously a box shape and not a tailored cut like most of the Umbro jerseys are

This could be due to the crap resolution of the image, but the sleeves don't look proportionate to the size of the jersey (XXL body with medium width sleeves)

Might be the right look, but definite knock off construction.

Venkys are obviously dictating again, this is about as close to dressing the team in chicken outfits as they can get away with!

You can never tell how nice the kit is going to be until worn by the players and with a sponsor included. Isn't the worst I've seen this summer infact it has potential

yellow was always the colour of away strips black in the 80s I like it, down side does it have to be a 'yellow dingles kit'
