Borussia Dortmund 2011/12 Kappa Home Kit

This is the new Borussia Dortmund kit for the 2011/2012 German Bundesliga season manufactured by Kappa.

Recently crowned champions for the 2010/11 season for the 7th time in their history and today BVB release release their new home kit. The yellow shirt features small, black rounded squares in a gradiented style pattern but leave space for the Evonik sponsor logo to be shown fully.

Inside the black V-neck collar the Kappa and BVB logos can be seen aswell as multiple inscriptions stating "Echte Liebe" (Real Love). While Black cuffs and large Kappa logos complete the sleeves and shoulders.

The Kappa logo is on the right side of the chest while the BVB crest is in it's usual left position with a star above it denoting 5 Bundesliga championships. The back of the shirt contains a blank space for the players name and number to be fully visible while at the bottom of the back a German tradition of printing the team name is carried on with 'Dortmund' being visible.

Thanks to global-player, Aserbaijan23 and Crochef

It looks a little bit like the Brazil away shirt of this world cup. Because of the dots.

Nice kit...arguable, but nice shirt (remembers me 2010 Brazil away), very nice and simple shorts, beautiful socks...

the black/yellow comb and the rocking BVB logo help to make Kappa's job easier...

The last 2 years Kappa have come up with smart kits for Dortmund but this will have to grow on me.

Maybe should have held back on the rip off Christmas kit and saved it for 11/12

Maybe one day a team will not change their kit every year..

Maybe one day kits wont be spoilt by a sponsors logo emblazoned across the front..

maybe..

Yeah right, that will happen. Football is all about money these days.. it would only get worse.

And who gets the money from all this? Those bloody greedy bastards who don't give a rat's ass about football but buy them anyway just to ruin the beautiful game. Makes me sick.

sure mate... dream on!!!! and who will pay the big money for players like ronaldo and messi? maybe you by buying one shirt every year or what? i can´t understand fans who say - a sponsor ruins a shirt. football is business not haute couture!

We used to have milk cartons with this design(the dots) in Ireland back in the 90s. But even they don't use this design anymore.

If it weren't for that ridiculous purple sponsor, it'd be pretty good. I mean, really Evonik, can't you just TRY to blend in a little? That purple looks ridiculous.

The old halftone bitmap pattern, popular in really dated looking 1990's print design. It's okay i guess.

Dortmund are a class club and deserve better than this. It's not bad, but it's a step down from even the current kit, which is itself subpar. I think if it was just plain without the dots it would be 3-4 times better

It reminds me of the time I was abducted by aliens and was subject to an anal probe with a light on the end of it. There were lots of huge headed dwarfs making incoherent noises. There was no scientific reason for the probe. I think they only did it because thats what happens on the X Files. Anyway, it didnt do me any harm because here I am telling you lot about it.

It's alright. It's dottedlike, kinda like that, better than nothing. Cut of shoulder sleeves could be baggier though. Lost the will to live with kit designs years and years ago. Wrenched my soul out, so just let the crap wash over me these days. Kit makers never listen, just do their own thing, just like our politicians.
