bristol City 11-12 adidas home football shirt

Bristol City have revealed their new adidas home kit for the 2011/12 npower Championship season.

The kit - comprising traditional red shirt, white shorts and red socks and featuring the new RSG sponsor logo - can be purchased now from BCFC Megastore or online.

It was worn for the first time by the first-team squad during the Big Team Picture at the club's Family Open Day.

And the kit is already a big hit with the players who are calling on the fans to join them and wear the shirt pride this season.

City striker Nicky Maynard said: "I'm always proud to pull on adidas clothing, whether it's in training or in matches. It's the best around by far."

Last season's player of the season Albert Adomah said: "Hopefully I'll be on fire in the red shirt for the new season and I can entertain all fans who wear it like me."

The distinctive new design also features adidas' cutting edge Climalite, a light, breathable fabric that conducts heat and sweat away from the body to keep the wearer cool and dry.

Shirts are priced £40 for adult sizes and £30 juniors. Adult and junior shorts are £20 and £17 respectively, with socks £10 and £8. All sizes are in comfort fit.

Thanks to Jordan and Tom

I prefer the collar to the templates for Derby, Stoke, WBA etc - but once again - too many tacky flashes and stripes.

If only adidas could do an 'umbro' - go back to the classic, simple designs (ignoring England's new GK top!).

That's a very nice kit. I felt the DAS sponsor spoiled the shirts in the past and this one works much better.

For some bizarre reason when I first saw this it made me think of Toronto FC from MLS. no idea why. Nice enough shirt.

Isn't it about time Adidas tried a kit without the 'Three Stripes' over the shoulders. It limits their designs so much. They could easily incorporate three stripes elsewhere on shirts too.

for the last 5 seasons City have had relatively simple but lovely kits, this is no different. Great shirts for them

Not just saying this because im a city fan but honestly think this is the nicest addidas template kit so far this season. Its a template but not if that makes any sense!

Only thing i would change would be the white flashes.. Plain red with white pin stripes is what i dream of every season, never get my wish though ha!

I am overcome by its sheer beauty...not. It's ok, better than the usual templates I guess, yawn. Go and ask umbro how ro make a decent kit. adidas are suffering due to their constant devotion to the three stripes rule. Man they need some new designers.

Ask Umbro for a decent kit? That would be the same Umbro which has unveiled the new England away strip as being blue, and a different blue, when the colours of ENGLAND are a red cross on a white background? I think not.

Wake up adidas!!! Some people yawn, some people think
company suffering due to their constant devotion to the three
stripes rule. Number of people thinking that way are rising
day by day. This is not surprising because three strips running down the football jersey's shoulders first time appears in 1973/74 years.I remember world championship
1974 in Germany where Poland and Netherland briliant teams
worn such beautiful kits. But now is 2011 year. So for Bristol
city's 3rd kit from the club's crest take white color as sail and
wavy strips as sea waves and let three time running down the shoulders. Will somebody yawn agein? who knows.
P.S.Also see my coments for Swansea city away kit and for
FC Liverpool 3rd kit.

THAT'S how you do an adidas kit. Material looks quality, great design. Vey nice.

Not like the Swindon, Derby and Aberdeen kits with their cheap-knock-off polyester shiny stuff.
