Cardiff City Football Club unveiled the 2011/12 home kit as supplied by Puma.
The kit this year adorns the Malaysia slogan, which will be carried on the front of shirt, along with smaller versions on the back of the shirt and the shorts.
They are also pleased to include the popular yellow and white stripes at the top of the shirt, while also presenting a classic looking kit.
The ties with Malaysia are by now well known to all, with the esteemed investors and board members now a major driving force in the progress of the club. The bond continues to strengthen between Cardiff City and MALAYSIA, be that with their links to the 1Malaysia campaign aiming for unity within diverse cultures in the country, along with ever improving football connections via the start of the 1Malaysia Cardiff City Grassroots Academy in Kuala Lumpur.
Cardiff City chief executive Gethin Jenkins spoke of the unique bond, saying, "The club had some very attractive shirt sponsorship options to link up with a number of commercial partners and brands in the UK and abroad, but after speaking with our investors and knowing the commitment from Vincent Tan and TG, we knew that the best way to highlight our affinity with Malaysia was to wear the message with pride on our kits this season.
"The bond between Cardiff City FC and Malaysia will be evident throughout the season, something that has already been fully embraced by our supporters over the last twelve months and more. We are all looking forward to maximizing this sponsorship and further sharing much between both countries over the coming season."
Thanks to Luke and Steff

"Cardiff City football club is owned by Malaysian"
That should be the sponsor appeared on the shirt, no?
The away will probably be the same but in yellow or black.
malingshit is a mockery of the Indonesian against Malaysia
calm, Indonesia had Dua Kelici in real madrid, although not the main
bring your rivalry somewhere else.
anyway tbh the strip looks okay, although the sponsor did ruined it a bit. i mean cmon, a country name? our owner should put it their company name at least!
but the colour, is okay. even the sponsor looks okay with the colour silver and yellow. the design actually looks the best compared to other same templates tho..
instead we went to the neighbouring country; Malaysia, and we play with their national team, TWICE! what was they called again.. young tiger? They were quite good, quality young players..
and the Indonesians still butthurt until today. Cheers!
But the most notable thing is Indonesia 5-0 victory over Harimau Malaya in the same tournament. And, don't you remember that malaysia begged Indonesia to win over Thailand so you country could go to semi-final?
Cmon, if Malay are better why they ranked 143 while Indonesia 130?
Hi sir,
Ironically, people will not see how you doing yesterday 5-0 (dont get so cranky over early winning), or FIFA ranks or whatsoever, what is matter is you dont get the cup in that tournament.
people will see alright and people will see their rank. who are you to represent people? dont you mean by the malaysian people only?

A football club is more than a strip.
This is Cardiff, not Swansea!!??
I know, I'm saying that even though I dig Swansea, the Cardiff shirt is nice. You know, cause the two teams don't get along.
Smart kit all round. Better with the V neck than the collar versions............how did puma get Newcastle so wrong?
Agree with everything else. And that is the jobsite logo, i'm sure
No, the south africa Trikot is different and the Totttenham Kits are just white.
I don't know how many times it has been explained, but just because each Puma team seems to have a similar design this year, is that it's Puma's fault for being boring and lazy, because it's not them.
Each team gets presented 3-4 design choices, usually plain v/round neck, one with a collar, one with a jacquard print, then stripes/hoops depending on the club. It is ENTIRELY then up to the club which design they want to go with, obviously depending on cost, but the club can make their own choice of trim/cuff colours etc, which Puma will then take on board and design before being approved.
It's hardly Puma's fault if each club seems to be on the same page this year and all like the same design is it?
I realise that this strip has had the most positive comments so far regarding the design, but just had to get that off my chest.
However, good luck to Cardiff blubirds quest in this season

BTW, what is Malaysia, some kind of new generation tape made by 3M?
Why do the Jacks do everything so much better than us, they're in the EPL and we're not, they've got better players, a better manager, better run club, better fans and now they've got a better kit and better manufacturer....Grrrrr makes me so angry!!!!!
malaysia ? what they think?? why they are not embarrassed by their sponsor?
Even after promotion you're still obsessed by us.
Wish our kit was like Swansea's. Theirs is class to be fair, and they're in the Premier League unlike us who aren't.
Sincerely I prefer English teams in English leagues and Welsh teams in Welsh leagues
In addition, playing for their country both Cardiff & Swansea city would win the league, adding cups to their palmares.
At least some years ago, they played Welsh cup.
We (the Welsh clubs - Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham Newport [as well as Aberdare and Merthyr I believe]) were invited into the English leage system a century ago in order to make the leagues financially viable.
The "Welsh Leagues" as you put it, didn't exist until the late 80s/ early 90s, by which point Cardiff City had forced the English cup to be renamed the FA Cup by being the only team to take it out of England, and Swansea had recently spent a short time in the English first division.
Of course, there's no money whatsoever in the Welsh leagues but the reality is that we were relatively successful in the English leagues, and a change to the fledgling Welsh league would've sent us back into total obscurity and ruined football as a sport in Wales.
Many of the rugby supporting public in Wales inexplicably have an English club side that they follow, but this does mean that they turn up to see Cardiff/Swansea when we play a big English club side.
Both Cardiff and Swansea are now under the jurisdiction of the English FA although when Cardiff/Swansea are involved there will be a member of the FAW present.
u can do better than that !?
not too bad though, i like the collar
Amusing to see all the Jacks signing up with Cardiff names. Even with premiership football to look forward to you just can't get us out of your heads (Kylie Minogue inuendo intended).
the yellow line is crap should both b white lines imo
come on! be a true fan!!!
right now many Malaysian people are cheering and supporting Cardiff...!!! cheer!!! hopefully this kits will be sold in Malaysia!
Why are we jealous? We have Dua Kelinci for Real Madrid this year
wow thats great dua kelinci for real madrid, but what is that?I noticed malaysia company sponsored much more noticeable such as airasia on the bpl referee
Kit is OK though, best of the much-used Puma template.
All you malaysian haters get out from this page, you guys are jealous because your country doesn't have your country's sponsor printed like that in european football clubs
Yup, I agreed...
i mean c'mon to be fair malaysian air asia sponsored the fa, used to sponsored man utd, but why make such a fuss here?
bring your national rivalry somewhere else, don't mixed politics with football.
But why?
Cardiff is good Championship club but with Scottish man at manager are they putting the ox before the cart?
I am thinkings very middle of the season despite heavy rains.
Yes, we can have different opinions but to make offensive remarks towards each others' country is very uncivilized.
I agree with micheal71 that the world is watching..
Anyway, I find it a bit weird to see a country name as a shirt sponsor, has it been done before?
I'm just happy to see Malaysia sponsoring Cardiff. Please visit Malaysia or Singapore! not Indonesia, don't get mixed up
