Chelsea FC 2011/12 Adidas Away Shirt Leaked

This is what appears to be the new Chelsea away shirt for the 2011/2012 English Premier League season manufactured by Adidas.

The shirt is black in colour with a net like pattern on the top half in a quite a light shade of blue, the kit also has a white trim in the shape of the logos and Adidas stripes on the shoulders.

Chelsea will also be releasing a third shirt for the new season which is expected to be all white with yellow and black incorportated into the design.

I know it's DARK blue, but shouldn't they pick an away kit that isn't basically the same colour as the home top?

Having it that high up the chest makes it fit in team photos, which will keep the sponsors happy. Not that I'm cynical.

Well this kit was obviously going to be a retro shirt, the home kit was a retro design, this away kit is and the third kit will likely be a retro design as well, at least adidas are trying to make changes unlike nike!

TO Answer the question as to why the crest and sponsor are high up on the chest... Very simple when the players are being interviewed it genrally is from chest height. So the sponsors go higher on the kit to get more publicity...

The problem is that the other clubs don't have some half-baked know-nothing imbecile okaying these designs.
The only reason any clubs bring out a black shirt is because market research think-tanks tell them that black goes well with jeans so you sell more shirts and with the light blue trim , well , its a look , not a Chelsea look but a look.
