everton 11-12 le coq sportif home football shirt

We showed you some leaked pictures back in April, but today the new Everton home kit for the 2011/2012 season has been officially revealed.

The main change with this season's shirt sees the return of a collar, adding a classic, vintage look. It is also the first time the home shirt has featured a collar since the 2000/2001 season.

And with the Club reverting to amber for its now hugely popular away shirt, the colour has been incorporated into the home design with subtle amber piping through the collar and sleeves.

The strip will be officially launched with an event at the Everton One megastore, adjacent to Goodison Park.

The full strip is available to pre-order online.

Yes, the army wears camo, but that doesn't mean the keepers should wear camo. You don't see any camo in the MLS! I really don't like this keeper kit. I loved last year's and they should have kept it. (Oh and all their other teams [Youth, Womens] wear this kit too...)

I thought that, did not know it was him at first, took me a while, thought it was a player from the 70s with his head superimposed on the new kit. That comes across as a good way of promoting a new kit, stick an old players head on the new kit.

If your going to have blue socks on the home kit. why on earth are the away kit socks not yellow.
Reply | Reply with quote | Quote

+2 # 2011-07-04 21:29
My guess is they will have an alternate yellow pair (and probably an alternate white pair for home kit)... but in saying they won't need them much this year - unless Blackburn and/or QPR go with blue socks for their home kits.

I like it as a kit, one of the best this season, but I don't think it's Everton.

They don't usually feature gold, they don't usually have blue socks.

Someone will probably mention the 2-3 seasons they've had a yellow trim but I'm not buying it.

Taylored by Le Cog for Everton.

It is a beautiful home jersey, but not sure about the blue-amber combination though.

The keepers camouflage design was used by Do You Football in 2005. It is brilliant.
