FC Barcelona 2011/12 Nike Home Shirt Leaked

This appears to be the new Barcelona home shirt for the 2011/2012 season made by Nike.

The shirt features solid blue sleeves, a red round neck collar with 9 red stripes that appear to get smaller as they go down the shirt, this appears to be an early prototype as it still features the Unicef logo rather than that of the recently agreed Qatar Foundation deal.

just for info: guess what all, the colours for barca shirts originate from the colours of merchant taylors school in Liverpool so therefore Liverpool have a foot in barca, Ernest and Arthur Witty went to the school there.

So what would you like?? Adidas??? Give me a break!... Nike's design are exclusively for Barca, and you can see many teams (Inter for example, that has strippes) are very different.... With Adidas Barca may be having the same AC Milan template...

What are you talking about??... Those designs you are talking about for Inter, Juve and Atletico have been created by user, not by Nike... All those you can find them on Fantasy design, and the user specifies that those designs have been based on Barca's jersey! So there are NOT leaked pictures of Atletico, Juve or Inter jerseys showing Barca's 11/12 template (Assuming that the leaked pic is actually the real one for next season)
And, yes, Nike's design for FC Barcelona have been exclusively for them... Give me one 10/11 stripped jersey that has same Barca's design??? NONE....

Nike don't always design s shirt exclusively for Barsa. When they do stray from some strange uniformity it tends to end up looking like a dog's dinner (01/02 and 09/10) this looks akin to a Partizan away shirt from a few years back with its thin stripes and block-colour sleeves. I'd prefer ALL clubs had shirts made by companies in their own country and distributed by said company (like Meyba) and not by American companies and distruibution contracts to kitbag.com, an absolutely terrible company based in Manchester and with poor delivery standards AND customer service. It makes me remember Barcelona 04-05 away kit, I think... The blue one with dark blue stripes fading from left to right. That was an excellent Barcelona kit!! The leak looks a little bit rare, I think they can improve the sleeves quality... And a V neck would look better.

Why tamper with the Barcelona stripes? These are way too thin. Barça's stripes should be quite wide, much wider than Milan or Juventus for example. FCB/Nike have messed around too much in recent years. I liked the 2006-08 shirts though.

As a Barca fan of 25 years I am appalled by this shirt. The classic Barca stripe pattern is 3 blue and 2 red on front and back, and anything else is wrong, period. The greatest Barca shirt ever was the Meyba shirt of the 80's and early 90's, classic Barca, and made by a Catalonian company.

This barca look is a bit lost as the blaugrana stripes are too odd. I don't know if this is worse though than the 08/09 half red half blue shirt. I guess I like the normal stripes. I wish they would try more of the 02/03 or 03/04 styles changes. I've actually really grown to like the InterMilan zigzag stripes. That would be a fresh but very 'barca' look!!

Shouldnt kit makers like Nike and Adidas follow the classical shirts more?

Nike came with Barca shirts that were half red and half blue, without stripes. Then they came with red shorts instead of blue. From what I remember as a kid, Barca always had blue shorts.

Why do kitmakers neglect the real fans and make up new things every year forgetting the classic style of a club?

For instance at Ajax, the rules of Ajax say the shirt is white with a red band walking all the way over the shoulders. But Adidas comes and they neglect this rule.

All for commercial gains. I spit on companies who forget tradition and think they can decide elsewise!

But the good ones become average cause of the ugly stripes they force upon it. I don't know why football clubs are still picking Adidas... I love the Ajax shirts from the 90s that were made by Umbro. Also Nike delivers these days. But Adidas........

As long as FC Barcelona has a contract with another sponsor(unicef), they can not produce any merchandise with the new sponsor(qatar foundation). usually there is no sponsor at all, or just the one still in contract.

alright .. lets say barca for soo many years had the same style of jerseys that classic stripped style of shirts .. well i think making a white shirt or black one with a good designed lion or phoenix would break that classic style at least for once .. and im pretty sure it will look really good + this shirt is not that bad but not what recommended for the best team in the world
