Feyenoord Home and Away Kits

These are the new Feyenoord home and away kits for the 2011-2012 Eredivisie season produced by Puma.

Feyenoord always show there new kits off early and this year was no different. Presented at a supporter's evening in Rotterdam, the club unveiled what their players will wear next season.

Gone from the home are any signs of a Puma template (well so far from what we know at least) and any large areas of black which caused the supporters to boycott the shirt a couple of seasons ago and Puma to similar, but changed version.

The home shirt is your pretty basic red and white halved shirt with a round neck collar also divided into halves. The away however does feature a more adventuous design, two thin stipes cross the chest in red and black on top of a baby blue base, a similar style of stripes can be seen on both the home and away socks too

You mean the previous Kappa kits? I don't remember Nike making Feyenoord kits.

Oh, and 'meh #2' to the strips

THANK YOU. "Their" and "there" really shouldn't be that hard to differentiate between.
And I agree--the kits aren't particularly inspiring, although with a specific design like Feyenoord has (1/2 white-1/2 red) there's not much room for interpretation. Too bad Puma is taking the Adidas route and only releasing 2 templates per year.

So the supporters have to boycott Puma to get a unique kit-design?!
Come on, Puma! Stop throwing out two uninspired templates a season!
Start thinking about the clubs you sponsor! As you have done here!
The supporters will thank you and buy your shirts.
You are not unimaginative, Puma! - look at Feyenoord's kits, they are great! - You are just f**king lazy!

My narrow minded and ill-informed weasel returns. Let a lowly Slovenian inform you about football history and how Feyenoord came about.

The football club Wilhelmina were founded in the pub De Vereeniging on 19 July 1908 and played in blue-sleeved red shirts and white shorts. Between 1908, 1910, 1911 and 1912 the club underwent a series of changes of name and team colours, becoming Hillesluise Football Club in 1909 and then RVV Celeritas. Upon earning promotion to the National football association in 1912, the club renamed to become SC Feijenoord, after the city district in which the team was founded and again changed uniform, adopting the red and white shirts, black shorts and black socks they still wear today.

Feyenoord are in no way copying Blackburn, by that token I assume by your logic that Genoa, Newells Old Boys, Galatasaray (occasionally), Slavia Prague have also copied them, and Celtic, Sporting Lisbon and Fortuna Dusseldorf have copied QPR....?

Engage brain before typing in future.

I wouldn't be too bothered is Spurs were to use these templates, they're simple but it wouldn't be as bad as the yellow atrocity from a couple of years ago.

F*ck off stink Italian, 42,000 hardcore fans every home game, while standing 15th in the league. You can only dream about this poor guy with your average of 20,000 so-called fans...

As a PSV supporter I can only hope Feyenoord will climb up the ladder and compete with PSV and A**x for the title.

And one note: Home kit is a bit dull but I like the Away kit though.

It seems stupid to have a first kit that is half white with black shorts and an away that's white with black shorts.
Their 3rd kit will probably be worn more than the away!

Just hoped PUMA listened to the Feyenoord fans, and made the away kit green as it used to be. Don't like the kits PUMA has produced for Feyenoord. In my opinion the kits Kappa made were better. Not every year, but some were just stunning.

The best will be if Umbro is going to produce Feyenoord's kirs in the future. I like their style very much!
