This is the new Republic of Ireland men's national team shirt for the period of between 2011 and 2012 manufactured by Umbro.
The new kit sees a striped green shirt with gold pinstripes running down it as well as a treadmark pattern, the collar changes from a white v-neck style to a folded design.
Umbro: "The new home kit will replace the current “tailored by Umbro” classic which was worn 12 times since it’s unveiling in February 2010. We know that the current kit has been extremely popular but we feel we have something even better for 2011/12 and were confident that this new home kit will be seeing some action in Poland and Ukraine next summer."
The new kit is due to get it's first airing in a friendly game versus Croatia in Dublin on August 10th

Ireland needs as much money as it can get.
This is a step backwards. For a start, its no longer a bespoke shirt for the republic (same design as hearts, and I know elements of the old shirt were used in shirts for South American teams, but the design was unique for Eire) and the green is not as nice. It still looks good, but Eire should have kept the 2010 shirt, which was a great kit, and released the new one in February 2010 at the earliest.
I remember they did the same thing in 2001, replacing a great shirt with an inferior one midway though the qualifiers.

Just to reiterate; the Northern Ireland shirt from 1992-1994 is almost identical to this. Umbro have run out of ideas (and class, evidently)...
