juventus 11-12 nike home away football shirts

We showed you a leaked picture of the away shirt back in April, but now Juventus and Nike officially presented the home and away strips for season 2011/2012, which will be available here.

A traditional event, but held in a special location: at the new stadium inside the Bianconeri’s dressing room. Andrea Agnelli and Andrea Rossi, Nike Italy’s General Manager, were in attendance to unveil the Bianconeri’s new sportswear collection.

“This year we chose to present the new shirts, manufactured by Nike for the ninth consecutive season, in a special location, our new stadium – declared Juventus President Andrea Agnelli – We’re delighted that Nike, a company with which we’ve had a lasting partnership, solid and of reciprocal satisfaction, have welcomed our proposal with enthusiasm. With the same enthusiasm we’re here today to begin season 2011/2012 together, done from the ‘heart’ of the new stadium, the dressing rooms, a place that we’ve opened to the press, but will soon be occupied by Antonio Conte and his team to have quiet and focused moments which come before competitive action.”

“We wanted to create an authentic Juventus Football Club collection for the first time: the shirts to be worn for the game will have a futuristic look with high performance materials of a unique style – stated Andrea Rossi, General Manager of Nike Italy – the Train range, developed using the best technology, allows training to be carried out at optimum level regardless of the weather conditions. The collection is made complete by an Express casualwear line, dedicated to those who wish to dress with style and elegance whilst showing their passion for Juventus.”

Home Shirt

Juventus will wear a shirt with a futuristic look which looks to signal the start of a new era. It features a reinterpreted version of the iconic black and white stripes to guarantee a 3D effect. ‘Juventus’ is written on the back of the shirt, whilst ‘Forza Juve’ is written on the back of the badge. The shorts are white, with a hint of black at the tip, along with white socks and a ‘J’ written on the calf.

Away Shirt

The Bianconeri’s away shirt is bright pink, dominated by a star, signalling a return to tradition. Following the foundation of the club in 1897, Juventus wore pink coloured shirts with black shorts for six years before switching to the traditional black and white stripes. The body, the sleeves and the neck are pink with a large black star weaving from the neck down to the waist. The shorts are black, while the socks are completely black except for a small ‘J’ on the calf.

The fabric is comprised of recyclable materials, Nike Dri-FIT and an aerodynamic design.

The new shirts are made entirely with Nike’s innovate recycled polyester: each one is produced directly from the recycling of fourteen plastic water bottles. The strips also actively contribute to the regulation of athlete’s body temperature on the pitch thanks to the Nike Dri-FIT fabric. The shirts contain a new aerodynamic fit, now more slender, which offers 17% more elasticity than the previous shirt.

Juve’s sportswear collection will go on sale from 7th July in all major Nike shops and online.

Thanks to Karesz

The stripes on the home are pretty original, but also pretty eye watering. Could have been a bit more subtle. The away kit is not the best, the pink looks okay, the huge star does not. The third looks pretty cheap, and that betclic sponsor does not look good.
Reply | Reply with quote | Quote

+1 # 2011-07-08 17:54
Agree on the stripes. My biggest issue is the red Balocco sponsor on a pink shirt. I would buy both if not for that gaffe...

There is no third kit here. The black is the GK kit and the white is the training. I assume they'll use the away kit from last year as a third, just as they've done for several years.

You may find it stupid and pathetic, but 'm really depressed with these new Juventus shirts. I've been supporting the team since 1997, from the moment when i saw the Champions League final 1996/1997(against Borussia Dortmund), Juve lost that time, but i fell in love with simple black&white stripes and the "SONY" logo on it...
And what i see now? Fookin "BetClic" rectangle on the horrible black&white nonsense.
I want fookin ICONIC shirts for Juve!!! Okay, we can't get the "SONY" logo back, but at least STOP inventing modern designs! Pleeeaaase! No need for them. This is Juventus!!! [in "this is Spartaaa!" style]

People complain when brands use the same templates on every kit..
People complain when a brand tries to do something different..
wut?
You have some serious issues if you immediately dub the away kit as 'gay', pink is in the clubs history, and is a welcome return. As for the star? It's different, I like it. And stop crying 'Palermo', you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.
Sure, the sponsors aren't ideal, but i've seen plenty uglier in my time.
I will probably be buying both these shirts (primarily the away), as I love my team, and to be honest, I like these kits. I don't want a crappy re-hash of kits from last season, I like to see something new! (See: Arsenal, Man Utd) quit crying.
