Leeds United 2011/12 Macron Home Kit

This is the new Leeds United home kit for the 2011/2012 English Championship season manufactured by Macron.

The new Macron shirt will bear the name of the club's new main sponsor Enterprise Insurance. The main sponsorship agreement is for an initial one year term and will see all first team playing kit, training wear and replica kit branded with the Enterprise Insurance logo.

The kit for 2011/12 is a retro style shirt in white fabric and is influenced by the 1991/92 Championship winning season which the club is celebrating this season. The Shirt features include the shiny fabric and distinctive royal and yellow tipping on the sleeve.

The Home Kit is launched on Saturday 16th July at 8am from the Elland Road and Online Superstores exclusively.

It's not that bad. It doesn't have a stupid house on it like West Brom, it doesn't introduce a stupid, new colour like the orange on Bolton and Wigan kits. Perspective needed.

With all given perspective, it's a hideous kit: badly made, badly fitted, aesthetically horrendous and enormously out of proportion. The club badge and technical sponsor aren't even level; the main shirt sponsor's logo is enormous and hideous, not to mention way too low to look normally placed; the enormous Macron logo on the shoulder is vulgar; the multi-coloured arm-bands are ugly; worst of all, it doesn't even fit properly. Dreadful kit. It's very, very hard to get a white shirt wrong, but Macron have done a sterling job of exactly that.

The kit overall is nice except for the sponsorship logo. The firm sponsoring should have gone with some more minimalistic. Just the Logo itself and a smaller font.

Such a shame for a Club with a solid history and fond memories of the 70's especially the early 70's - what a good side that was, is reduced to doing Kit launch photographs on a pitch behind their offices

The design and neck line are clean enough. Tidy is how I would best describe it. Hopefully they are back in the Premier League soon, always good games against Leeds down at Stamford Bridge

it isnt just 'a' pitch behind our offices. its at thorpe arch. there is about 15/20 pitches. state of the art training facility from when we were half decent

Good to hear you think we should be back in the prem, but I don't think we're taking promo shots of our kit at the training ground because we can't afford to get a decent photo shoot, but because Ken Bates is too busy saving the pennies to stick a stupid f**cking hotel on the side of the stadium like he did with you lot. And I'm not having a dig, I just don't know what's going through the man's mind.

Not sure if you're right. There is no area of green that size behind the Leeds offices. It's probably at the training ground.

Not as well presented as Huddersfield or Brighton but not as bad as many teams.

It's criminal that our great shirt has been degenerated into a non-league kit by Bates and macron.

The retarded macron man on the shoulder is bigger than the club badge. I long for the day Bates has gone and has taken macron's dreadful designs with him.

Oh, and it looks nothing like the 90-92 kit - more like the 88-90 one, and even then it looks nothing like that.

the kit from 1991-92 was nothing like this one at all. the sleeve bands are the only thing near to what that superb umbro button neck looked like. the collar on this shirt would've looked better with a round neck under the collar like the 1988-90 home shirt, now that was a shirt!!! the shiny material of this kit sadly reminds me of the packard bell puma shirt from the 1998-2000. not sure kids are gettin it but i'm undecided, yellow away kit on the way & blue away from last season will be third kit with new sponsor. I think this is a decent looking kit. It's clean, reasonably simple in the fact that it's got no extreme blue flashes or stripes like Macron unnecessarily put on the first two kits they did for us.
I don't even mind the sponsor, as it's reasonably simple, in fact I don't understand the extreme criticism of the sponsor at all, there's nothing offensive about it.
I'd say last season's kit was the best we've had since our relegation from the Prem, as the Nike kit we had then was immense, so it's a shame that this isn't an improvement on it, but it's still pretty decent.
My only beef is that the size/open-ness of the collar is a bit big, but all in all, not bad.

i guarantee there will be at least five fantasy kit designs on this site which are far better than this.

generally asymmetrical kits look poor (diff. coloured sleeves - odd macron logo) for a start. the shiny fabric looks cheap not retro, and as for the fit...

puma's plain design for the spurs shirt is a far better attempt. this is such a shame as leeds could have an amazing and stylish design.

shame they couldn't iron the shorts too!
