This is the new Liverpool F.C. Away kit for the 2011 - 2012 English Premier League Season manufacturered by adidas, which will be available here.
The new kit comes in colours which adidas calls 'solid grey' and 'bird silver'. It is also offset with a red colour in the collar and cuffs.
All the logos on the shirt come in the bird silver colours including the adidas stripes, although the two Eternal Flames remembering the 96 that lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster still remain in a bright red colour.
The shirt features pinstripes for the second season running but these seem to fade into the background of the shirt a lot more then the outgoing current away kit.
The new home goalkeeper kit accompanying the release of the away kit comes in black with orange logos, all except the Eternal Flames as with the away kit which remain red.

It will be interesting to see what Adidas does with the Real Madrid kits. I thought they've been pretty poor the last couple of seasons but they always seem to make nice Liverpool and Chelsea kits.
I love silver and black so that is probably why I love it so much but I also love the pinstripes and the little red stripe in the collar. I'm also a Nike by the way but this is a World Class kit. Well done Adidas. Hope Nike can produce something similar for United one day.
Erm, they already have done - the 2007/08 away kit, which looks very similar to this.
No United fan in their right mind would consider buying a Liverpool shirt and vise-versa, although I agree this is a cracker and I do not usually like Adidas designs either.
I have the 2007/08 Black away kit for United and it is easily my favorite kit I own and I own 19 kits. Fortunately I have worn it so much it's shrunk a bit. I have put it into retirement. Meaning I'm not wearing it again.
By the way, this Liverpool kit is definitely different. Liverpool kit has a lot of silver in it plus it has the pinstripes.
If you really want this but cannot buy it because you are a ManU fan, then you should have a look at the Bayern Munich Champions League shirt from this season, it looks a lot like it and is on sale right now.

It's pretty much the same colour as the away kit! I thought the idea was you could be able to clearly tell who the GK is in the pentaly box.

This is practically black, and I don't like the sudden dominance of black shirts in football. If you count this one as black, then in Liverpool's 119 year history they went 110 years without a black away shirt - only to have 5 in the last 9 years (4 of them by Adidas in the last 4 years).
For this reason, I much prefer the white 2010-11 away shirt and the light grey one from a few years back.

Although I'm not sure what you mean in the article when you say the flames stay red. They have typically been yellow with a red outiine in the past. For this one they seem to have changed to a lighter red than than that used for the outline.
Id pre-orderd this kit before seeing it and was really worried with the stuff doing the rounds on the internet (Especially that pathetic blue n white kit) Bur I am happy to see me spends av gone on another classic.
I just hope at some point they do a red home with Gold badge, logo and pin striping on, with a white V neck !

I wear size US Medium or US Small depending on the cut. In England Umbro I had a 40 and I took it to the tailor to slim it slightly.
However, in supertight stuff like Kappa or addias techfit workout I wear XL or L.
What size are you guys getting for official adidas replicas? (LFC, Chelsea, Spain, Germany, etc) Do you wear them baggy or slim?
Nice shirt, nothing special though, but it'll look great on the players I'm sure when they get a pasting down at Old Trafford next year!

I'm not a fan pin-stripes on most shirts, but I think they look alright on black, the badge is nice aswell.
