Mansfield town 11-12 errea home football shirt

Mansfield Town revealed their new home kit made by Errea for the 2011/12 season, sponsored by Greene King.

This new shirt is made up of an amber body with a blue strip on the right shoulder.  The shorts and socks are royal blue.

The new home & away shirt sponsors, Greene King are a leading pub retailer, and have been operating for over 200 years.  Its Free Trade Director, Joe Parks said on the day of the unveiling:   "We're absolutely delighted to be the new sponsors of Mansfield Town. When Steve Barker [the Stags' chief executive] offered me this opportunity, I didn't need asking twice.

"Mansfield are my hometown club and I don't think there is anything better than having Greene King IPA on the front of that wonderful amber shirt.

"Mansfield is an area in which we want to grow our brand.  We know that Mansfield people like decent beer because they grew up drinking good beer.  Unfortunately, their own brand has been tarnished over the past few years but I'm hoping IPA can take their place."

Chairman John Radford said:  "It's important that the club has a good main sponsor and I believe Greene King will be a solid sponsor for us.  We thank them for their sponsorship for the forthcoming season and hope to form an even closer relationship with them.

"We've just had the first batch of kits through and they'll be available to buy almost straight away."

Captain Adam Murray told mansfieldtown.net:  "It's a great design.  The sponsor's logo takes up a good area of the shirt which is good for them."

Adam Smith agreed, saying:  "It's nice and light.  You feel mobile in it.  It's a change from last season's but I prefer it."

The new home shirt is priced at £39.99 for adults, with shorts retailing at £15.95 and socks at just £8.95.

Junior kit is priced at £34.99 for a home short, £12.95 for shorts and only £6.95 for socks.

Thanks to Jason

Personally, I don't mind the colors.
The kit itself looks very cheap though, while the sponsor makes it even worse.

It could be good for Parma (sponsored by Erreà too)

PS: It is called Erreà and not Errea. There is the accent!

Well since their own logo is without the accent I guess it's not such an issue.

I know I'm being pedantic here, but there is actually an accent in the design - if you pull up a full size image of the errea logo (for example: http://www.ff2sports.co.uk/custom/errea.jpg ) then you can see there is a line across the top of the 'a'. it's subtle, but it IS meant to signify the accent...

I was thinking the same thing. Either this kit is very badly designed or these guys have been largin' it on beer and pies. Which is easy to do in Mansfield.

The way the white piping hits the collar looks really cheap! I don't like putting kits down, and it's nowt against the club.. but Errea have really not put a lot of effort in there.

It really does take up a good area of the shirt, right in the middle, below the errea logo and club crest, a decent size as well, not at all like every other shirt in the world. I hope other clubs adopt this placement for sponsors.

The sponsor logo can only be a max of 200 sq cm due to FA regulations, so its only the same size as every other sponsor logo

Plus, the guy in the middle of the first picture looks like he needs a good pre-season.

A shocking kit. Looks cheap and made from dated material from the 90s. Sponsor is ugly as well.

Funny...D**bys new Adidas kit looks like is made of the same material but no comments about cheap or dated. Maybe its because it has an Adidas badge rather than Errea? Just a thought...:-*

Some people on here crack me up.

Everyone whinges about templates, all shirts looking the same, etc and as soon as someone tries to come up with something different they get no credit at all.

I think it is very eye catching and looks really good.

I bet that if it was carrying the Umbro or Puma logo then all the sheep on here would be cuming in their pants it.

This kit absolutely sucks. It looks crap up close and it will look crap on the pitch. Also these photos look like bad outtakes from a Village People comeback album.

Perhaps they should be called 'Boysfield Town.

Ont the final picture looks as if they're inconspicuously trying to hide the fact they've been up to 'gay time' and the guy on the right has a slight rise to try and get rid of.
