Middlesbrough FC 11/12 Adidas Home Kit

This is the new Middlesbrough FC home kit manufactured by Adidas for the 2011/12 English Championship season.

The retro-style red shirt sees a return for the white shoulder 'yoke' made famous by Boro's all-time top scorer George Camsell when he scored 59 league goals during the 1926-27 promotion campaign.

Season Card holders can snap up the 2011-12 home kit from tomorrow (Friday) with general sale from Saturday.

The shirt, which will sport the logo of the club's long-term sponsors Ramsdens, is complemented by red shorts and white socks.

General sale begins from both stores and online at 9am on Saturday. Both stores will be open until 5pm Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday.

I wonder if they tried to get Ramden's to agree to having just the lettering? , shame though, it really does spoil it.

If they had learned from chivas usa, they would have altered the colors of the sponsor so it went with the colors of the kit.

It's ok. Doesn't really look right as a boro top though.

I really like it, but i think it could have done with a watermark effect near the bottom of the shirt just to finish it off

nice idea, sponsor ruins it.

why don't they only put the white letters on the shirt without the green erea, just like Samsung at the chelsea shirt?

Yes but they could easily dub the blue spot white.

Great kit, ruined by an unbelievebly bad sponsor!

Samsung's colours are white and blue so there's no clash to avoid... a better example is the AIG (corporate colour blue) yeilding to the kit colour with Manchester United

People are moaning about the sponsor there has been worse 188BET.com

But it would look good if the sponsor was white!

Great Kit. Could have more red, but it's OK.
As a Newcastle Supporter, I'm so jealous. Sunderland a Boro got beautiful kits, while we have to suffer with the "creativity" mess up that Puma made.

I think you'll find we did have a shirt with a white 'yoke' in the 1926/27 season worn by George Camsell in his record breaking season.

The sponsors logo's have to remain consistent with their strict brand guidlines, but surely in this case the sponsor should conform to the clubs traditional colours and heritage. As a Stevenage fan, we've got a giant pink square on our shirt.

Pretty good effort for adidas. Nice to see another kit in keeping with Boro's heritage after this seasons effort. Certainly a lot better than new Newcastle shirt.

I'm sorry, but who is alive now to remember the 1920s shirts??

The quintessential Boro kit is red shirt, central white stripe. There was nothing wrong with this season's kit? This one isn't bad in aesthetic terms but it isn't a proper Boro kit. The stupid sponsor logo completes this failure.

I thing the other way round. The shirt is terrible and boring, but the sponsor's logo invigorates it a bit. I believe that green goes perfectly together with red.

The logo does add a bit of 'ee ba gum' factor. It's not just the colour, it's the style and the name. Not exactly SONY or Standard Chartered, is it? This happens in the Championship, alas.

2008/09 was classiest but they went down! The yoke effect doesn't go with white sleeves IMO and they must have red shorts this time. I really hate adidas cos they must have the three stripes. Gettin' boring now..

That's a great shirt. I know Boro have this white central hoop business usually, but they've a tradition of incorporating a heavy white influence into their red shirts in a number of ways - whether white sleeves, the white braces of the late 90's, the white panels of the late-80's. I think this is an excellent interpretation, sponsor's logo aside. As someone else said earlier, if adidas delivered a white and black version of this for the Swans next year, I'd be delighted.

Feel it would be better with red sleeves, instead of the white, as it is it looks like they've stuck a big white box on the sleeves, it doesn't flow.

What a load of crap, it's easy to say that when you're not a mid-table team in one of the harshest economic situations in the country. If i remember rightly Middlesbrough is one of the hardest places to find a job in the country, censoreding Premier League fans. Go concentrate your ire on Wigan or Blackburn if it bothers you that much.
