Here is what seems to be the 2011/2012 shirt for the Paraguayan National Team made by Adidas.

Paraguay, who launched there last shirt as recently as last year are set to release a new one in anticipation for the upcoming Copa America tournament in Argentina later this year.

The shirt reverts back to a more classic Paraguayan look from the previous version and it's distinct lack of stripes. The collar has also been adjusted in to a more classic style similar to that worn in the 70s.

The collar seems to be focal point of this shirt with "Mba'e Guasu Guarani" printed inside the collar, a phrase in th local Guaraní language and also a lion on the back of the neck taken from the country's coat of arms.

Nice enough, but it's basically just Stoke City's new shirt from this season.

And for the 98,202,112 pedants out there, I'm sure the collar or something else is slightly different, and that's great, but you knew what I meant.

yeah... so you meant they're both red and white, so it's the same or what?
according to this Bayern Munich, Chivas LA and all the others are also identical...

what are you expecting?

No, it's more than that.

The pattern/stiching between the stripes is the same and the way the front joins the back is exactly the same as the Stoke City kit.

Chivas USA and Bayern Munich were different templates from adidas than this one and the Stoke City one.

It's a different template. The edges of the stripes on this shirt is different to Stoke. Look closely and that's got vertical ines of gradually reducing length. This just has sewing between the colours, like Newcastle 2009.

It's the same template as Spain's new home kit, so different than Stoke's one...

No it's not.

The Stoke kit has panels coming across the collar bone area to the top and the stripes are not exactly straight on it, more jagged.

This kit is far more clean cut and better finished. Template or not, I like it.

No, it'll be Stoke City's shirt in the 2012/2013 season ...

That won't become a template for the adi-kits till then ...

As for the design ... Meh.

pedantic of me but it should read "launched THEIR last shirt"

The shirt itself is fine, plain enough but ok looking.

So why are now the National Teams changing their shirt every year? I mean, with France it is understood, they changed the kit manufacturer... but with the rest of the teams?

In Paraguay's case, it might be because of the upcoming Copa America.

I'm sure France changed their shirt every year for the last few under Adidas as well. Russia and Spain are another two off the top of my head.

You can expect to see new Mexico and Argentina kits for the Copa America too, other than that I think it's a lot to do with money.

She can model the shorts and socks, no kit needed

Not bad for Adidas. I like the collar, but I don't like the diagonals cutting into the stripes at the bottom of the shirt.

I dislike the big red patch on the back, but I think that's more to do with FIFA and CONMEBOL than Adidas.

Also, unlike some have suggested, it's not the same template as either the current Stoke, AC Milan or last season's Newcastle shirts.

I know it gives FSC a lot to talk about but I'm disheartened by the rate at which even national teams change kits, it shows what the game has become, nothing but an exercise in making more and more money.

Not bad, a little reminiscent of 1980's kit, from TP.
It has an oldies look, i'd like to see the hole kit (shorts ans matching socks) for a complete appreciation

Very nice.

What's not to like?

The suggestion is that this will be the same template as Stoke 2011-2.
