Queens Park Rangers 11/12 lotto home football shirt

Revealed for the very first time in 'Hoops' - your official matchday programme - QPR donned their new home kit for the 2011/12 season in the opening day clash with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

The strip was designed and manufactured by Lotto Sport Italia - QPR's Technical Sponsor and Official Kit Supplier since 2008 - with both Lotto and the Club working in close collaboration to produce the R's new home jersey.

From a stylistic point of view, the kit perfectly represents the Club's tradition and history thanks to the continuous reflex blue and white horizontal hoops.

The back of the collar hosts the commemorative embroidery of the 125 years since the Club's formation in 1886, when St. Jude's Institute merged with Christ Church Rangers.

The final part of the sleeves is enriched by an elegant silver piping and the Club's emblem is presented on the chest in a high definition patch.

The home kit's shorts are all-white and enriched by the Club's emblem on the front part and by the double diamond on both lateral sides.

From a functional point of view, the kit combines lightness and breathability with a comfortable and ergonomic fit thanks to the Poly Double Mesh 10, an elasticated fabric ideal even in the most challenging phases of the game.

As per Lotto's tradition, there's also great attention to detail. The England flag sits inside of the shirt and the Club's emblem is processed with Lextra, which offers a special 3D effect.

Thanks to Flavio

What is it with football fans actually WANTING sponsors on shirts? Sometimes they are a necessary evil for a club to stay afloat, 80% of the time they look tacky as hell. It just really, really puzzles me when people on this site always demand one.

A shirt without a sponsor is simply better than a shirt with a sponsor. Period.

This shirt looks awesome and classy, and way better than it did when it had gulf air.com emblazoned on it.

There is a sponsor, Lotto.

All you need.

What are you talking about?!? Shirts without Sponsor's names plastered across them are much better...the commercialisation of Football is complete when someone yearns for a sponsor on the front of the shirt!!!

Nice and clean, shame about the Lotto logo`s on the shoulders, though. Still, a better outing than most other PL clubs.

Like most Lotto kits, this is a pretty nice piece of clothing, let down by large logos on the sleeves, and the red and black logo on the shirt. Why not just the one double L logo on the shirt, one on the shorts and on the socks? After a decade with the logos plastered everywhere, I think every football fan will know a lotto shirt when they see the double L logo

Another thing is the current QPR crest, which is nice, but not as nice as the old OPR logotype, which was one of the best in English football. Perhaps on the back of the shirt next season?

The kit looks like what QPR wear. Not bad in that sense but to eliminate the monotonous anticipation, they should play with the clours each year. My only question is with Billionaire owners, why dont they have a sponsor. sad really. Car Giant will be happy to sponsor them, which is in the motor Industry. some advice for owners too. Can sell your F1 cars their and come to an arrangement.

Whats with QPR's crest it's horrible, like some over the top generic royal family crest. Their old crest was so much better.

Old

Reflex Blue? Didn't realise they used Pantone references for fabric!
Nice kit (apart from the huge lotto badge on the arm) - QPR is a classic design and looks better for the absence of a sponor.

I hate sponsors on replica shirts, they normally ruin nice looking kits! Fans should have the ability to buy with sponsor and without sponsor

QPR have just been bought by Tony Fernandes, so this beautiful shirt will probably be defaced with "Air Asia"
Shame.

The word from Tony Fernandes on the official website is that they aren't looking for a sponsor. He went on to say that if they are desperate for sponsorship then, yes, they'll go with Air Asia.

Love the simple shirt and glad the hooped arms are back but not keen on the Birmingham-esque white bip on top of the shirt, which looks awful from behind :(

I hope no sponsor. But the team will eventually need some extra cash, so we'll see one, but lets hope they can sell these shirts as is, so we can get a hold of some clean ones like this.

like the shirt but dislike the red lotto logos on the sleeves.

i dont like the current qpr badge either but i saw an interview with the new chairman on sky sports news and he said he was up for the club getting the old crest back if thats what fans wanted.. seems like a decent bloke!

concerning the red lotto logos....several years ago when they made for juventus the fiat s ceo and juventus chairman disliked the logos so much that lotto had to cover them with a yellow patch

Yes, the old crest would be fantastic. He seems like the dream chairman we've been wanting after so many years of utter chaos. I have to pinch myself just to see if I'm not dreaming!

The front is OK, I hate the back with the weird semi-curve thing at the top of the back - I guess they couldn't figure out what to do with that area.

Too many hoops, QPR have thick hoops. I spoke to the shop manager and we almost have horizontal stripes and a sash as that was lottos 1st prototype they bought in.

The number's color (red) is ugly and unfitting the whole kit, but other than that - I'M LOVING IT!
