A new era is upon the R's - and they've harked back on arguably the most successful period in the Club's history to bring you QPR's new third strip for the 2011/12 Barclays Premier League campaign.
The mid-70s were undoubtedly a purple patch in Rangers' famous old history.
Dave Sexton's free-flowing QPR side of 1975/76 were pipped to the First Division Championship by Liverpool on only the final day of the campaign while, astoundingly, some five members of that team were given England call-ups at once in November 1975.
Rangers' first summer signing is showing off this latest shirt from Lotto - technical sponsor and official kit supplier of QPR since 2008 - which originates from the 1974/75 campaign.
Lotto's Research and Development Centre have worked in close collaboration with QPR to produce the new strip, which forms a perfect union of stylistic elements typical to the Club and performance-enhancing materials.
The strip (also modelled by Alejandro Faurlin, above) is characterised by large white and red squares on both the front and back sides of the jersey. The collar is white and pearl grey, while the sleeves' edges are red.
Made with Poly Double Mesh 10 - an elastic material ideal in even the most challenging phases of the game - this shirt combines lightness and breathability with a comfortable and ergonomic fitting to bring out an athlete's physicality.
QPR will sport the strip in their fifth match of pre-season tonight (Wednesday), when they take on newly-promoted Serie 'A' outfit Cesena.
The Club is currently in negotiations regarding shirt sponsorship for next season, so we are unable to confirm an exact date when the shirt will be in the QPR Superstore.

That kit looks like a lotto badge!
These odds are deteriorating rapidly
why the the diagonal white space?
where to put the sponsor ??
And I'm a West Brom fan!
I do like it though, although never really get away/3rd kits which have a prominent amount of one of the home kit colours, so the away kit colour will be of interest to see when this kit would actually be required
Home wont have it but the away is orange with blue at the top where the diagonal line is.
Either lose the panel across the top or have it in a third colour like black or blue.
queens pak ranger!!!!
The leaked kit was spot on, it only had the triangle at the top a bit smaller.

Ah... I hadn't seen these leaks. I saw the early versions where the red and white were just halves and had the old Gulf Air Logo on the front. Orange still looks awful though :(
