rochdale 11-12 carbrini football kits

With the announcement of the two-year sponsorship deal with the Co-operative Rochdale is delighted to announce the arrival of two new shirts for next season.

The purple away kit has been replaced by a white kit with a purple stripe and trim and the home shirt has gone through a minor change with the collar and sleeves being the more noticeable alterations.

They have a small number of shirts on sale from 2.30pm today with more stocks arriving in May.

Thanks to Ben

I like hoopy socks. Collar aside, that shirt is very similar to the current one.

Take the black panel off the shoulders and that's a pretty decent home shirt. Like the away kit, too - quite a cool retro look.

I think the purple stripe would look better as a solid colour rather than fading out

Rochdale have had nice home kits but really bad away kits for the past few seasons. That purple one last year was terrible and they kept wearing it week after week. Now they've got something decent for their travels.

It's strange that more teams with generic blue or red strips don't work in a bit of originality. Right now Rochdale are the only team in the league with this combination for their home strip, and it gives them standout.

The away isn't bad either though the choice of socks is a little odd.

Just shorten the length of the shorts and they'll both be great kits.

The home and away are entirely acceptable. Not jaw-dropping, but not an eyesore either. I would suggest they make a tweak to the goalkeeper's uniform though. In fact, in keeping with the striped socks, I'd suggest hoops along with said striped socks, perhaps in two-tone green or charcoal and black.

I like how they have covered the Nike Premier League balls with the Co-Op logo.

Bit ambitious isn't it?
