seattle sounders 2011 adidas shirt designs leaked

These seem to be the new Seattle Sounders 2011 home and away shirt designs made by Adidas.

The badge design resembles a heraldic shield and consists of two layers which represent "the partnership between the ownership, the community, the players and the fans".

The logo incorporates the Space Needle, an internationally recognized Seattle landmark. The official team colours are Sounder Blue, signifying the waters of the Puget Sound; Rave Green, representing the forests of the Pacific Northwest; and Cascade Shale, representing the Cascade Range to the east of Seattle.

Thanks to Phil

Those look absolutely awful. I do like XBOX alone instead of XBOX 360 though.

I love Seattle Sounders' strip. Last years was excellent and this one isn't far off either!

I love how the rave green blends in with the plastic pitch... it's like we're camouflaged and can sneak up on the other team. Boom! Oh! Montero scored another one! It also makes the players look like they have Predator suit technology on HDTV!!

Tha'ts because what Cisse was wearing was their TechFit line of compression gear that's supposed to make you 0.8% better than everyone else, and if you remember adidas now makes kits out of the TechFit rather than just as compression gear under a kit. It's form fitting and all that jazz. Go back and look at the player issue kits from the world cup many of them were the tech fit (Schwinestiger for example of Germany). Currently in the MLS D.C. United, L.A. Galaxy and I think Red Bulls all have TechFit kits as an option. They retail for $150. In case you needed all that information.

The three teams that have TechFit in MLS for 2010 are DC United, LA Galaxy, and Chicaoo Fire (not Red Bull New York). It would seem that for the 2011 season, Adidas will be extending TechFit to all 18 teams in MLS.

What the censored is with the random lines all over the place? Keep it neat, clean, and good looking, not cramped, weird, and messy!

never mind those silver strips, they are those adidas plastic/rubber/whatever things that stop muscle vibration... most of the new authentic adidas kits have them, you've seen it before on players in the World Cup... not as shiny or visible as these drawings make them out to be. They aren't a part of the template and you wont see them on the replicas.

I can confirm that these are the real things. My friend runs a soccer apparel store in my town and he works closely with the adidas reps and he showed me pics of these exact kits from one of his meetings. Unfortunately I can't show you these pictures as I don't possess them but you will have to trust me (which many of you will not, understandably) but when they release them for real you will all know that I am not lying. They do not look as bad as in the artwork is all I will say, still atrocious compared to the current kits though

Nice, Interesting collar on the home strip too.

I've got this year's home shirt so I'll probably plump for the away one next season.

Also, good to see the TPU TechFit bands being done in colour, rather than see-through like at the WC.

I know coloured bands won't work for every team out there, but it's always nice to see brands doing something new, rather than copying the same ideas years after year,

so these are Home and Away?
Will there be any difference between the two?
And are we to expect these on Chelsea and Real Madrid kits next season, I presume AC Milan would be too stripy to have such a design.
I will be able to comment more on the design when the pictures are more visable.

These are FAKE. No way they'd:

#1 Put Adidas in such a cramped area
#2 Put a bra strap where a nameplate would be
#3 Ditch the Blue. Too popular.
#4 Have a number on the proto -- the numbers are the same throughout the league; size and font.

So don't get upset. It's all a hoax. Or at least a stupid early proto. Most likely, it's just an overeager fan.

They can't put the adidas on the opposite side to the badge as it would cut that line, the name can go under the number, like on many other kits when they have a sponsor at the top of the back, and it's a poor picture, but it's still blue, they haven't ditched it. I wouldn't be so sure that's it's fake if I was you.........

#1 some of the MLS kits have the adidas logo in that area (look at the current Galaxy kit, for example)
#2 the bra strap you're referring to is the adidas TechFit design ... it's transparent, and optional for the players to wear ... they've already launched it in a number of European kits
#3 apparently someone below me says it's still blue ... but i'm sure a number of fans would prefer a black jersey over blue (even if it is for only one or two seasons)
#4 and i'm assuming there aren't numbers on the backs yet because the MLS hasn't agreed to what their numbers/font will look like next year. It might be the same as this year, and it might not ...

these pictures were taken from the sounders media guide for employees ... they weren't made by an eager fan.

some of you guys CLEARLY haven't been following adidas and their tech fit shirts....

This is real.
The "bra strap" is real, but comes off clear on the actual jersey and not white.
The Sounders are due new kits as well as a few other MLS clubs. More will be coming.

Its TechFit people, players choose wether or not to wear these. The normal jerseys are going to look great. So unless ur planning on buying a super tight jersey "Italian style" then you have nothing to worry about. No x on the back or the stuff on the front.

I wish people would stop calling football crests "logos". It's a crest and what goes on the actual shirt is a badge. A logo is for McDonald's.

As for the Seattle shirt. Dear god, Adidas continue with poor design more suited for American Gladiators or Power Rangers.

Everybody seems to be forgetting the simple fact that the Techfit X on the back is merely a shiney fitted design. A gloss if you will. Names and numbers go right over the top. They will not appear white like they do on the mach up seen above. Addtionally these are optional like a few of you have mentioned. Players have the choice. The Techfit was first exhibited in friendlies prior to the World Cup.

the green is to promote Microsoft. Best free marketing promotion for XBOX ever conceived. Base a team color off of the product and say it's for the city's sake. Way to go Paul Allen.

Bring back the Sounders white kits.

I'll never wear or buy one of those puke-green shirts. The Sounders awful team colors just make it easier to support the Whitecaps (who also happen to be about 30 miles closer.)
