Shamrock Rovers 11-12 umbro away kit

This is the new Shamrock Rovers 11/12 away shirt tailored by Umbro. The kit is the first League of Ireland kit to feature the comfort performance cotton material that has recently been used by the Ireland international team.

The jersey is an instant classic with little clutter or panels, the main black body material is accented with micro pin-hole mesh panels down the sides for player and supporter comfort and the Shamrock Rovers Crest and Umbro Diamond logo have been embroidered to the highest standard along with a return to the “true gold” star above the club crest.

The Woodies sponsor application is also lighter than previously with a direct print being used as oppose to a dimension weld, again this is to lighten the jersey and to aid the clean design ethos. The white woven collar is designed for comfort and the back neck yolk features a classic emerald green and white club scarf inspired mini panel as a nod to the famous hooped home kit.

To the rear of the shirt the Irish tricolour is featured under the collar and a print stating “Ireland’s Number 1” has been added to the bottom of the shirt in place of last seasons “SRFC Tallaght”. The kit will be used with plain black woven shorts and black sox.

Jonathan Courtenay; Director of Football at Umbro Ireland said “I was delighted to bring this new kit to the board of SRFC as I knew it would be received well. The kit shots look great but it will look even more impressive on the team against Derry City this Friday. I’m looking forward to hearing the reaction of the fans as black has been a colour of preference for the club. Some of the players including Gary Twigg have seen the kit over the last week when they were collecting their new Speciali-R boots and they loved it, so I can’t wait to see it on them”

The kit will go on-sale on May 6th the day of the home game against Sligo Rovers.

yes it looks like the Rangers kit but that's not a bad thing at all. Rangers had one of the best kits this season. I like it!

The shirt looks fine, but Umbro needs to change it up and put some designs on their jerseys! Umbro is tialoring excuses on why their kits are so boring and repetative!

I quite like it as a piece of team merchandise, maybe for the coaches to wear, but doesn't really look like a football shirt.
Nice though.

It's Rangers home but a different colour.

Black?? Looks distinctly grey in all the shots!!!

Beautiful. Doesn´t matter if the template is the same as Rangers.

Shamrock deserves a proprer tailored jersey.

What I don´t like is the motto "Irelands number 1" at the back.

It doesn´t match with the classic look of the jersey.

Ireland's Number One!! Which Doesn't mean much! Anyway, what is it, one title in 20 years?

Rangers players look like wee boys in cheap ill-fitting rugby shirts with no sleeves in the RFC home jersey. SRFC, one-half of Ireland's Old Firm, so i suppose it's fitting (no pun intended) they have this jersey!

Why do umbro have to make these rugby shirts? Rugby shirt manufacturers are making theirs look like football shirts. Eh?

Looks much darker in the flesh: seen them playing Derry last night, and it's almost black. What that picture also doesn't show is a white line running under the arms a la the Ireland top. There's also a sponsor at the bottom of the shirt on the back, but it's a very nice kit.
