Sheffield Wednesday 11-12 puma kit vote winner

Sheffield Wednesday are pleased to announce the results of the 2011/12 away kit vote.

Supporters were once again given the opportunity of choosing their favourite kit from three colour options - this time around the selection was either silver (which replaced pink in the original vote!), green or orange.

Thousands of Owls fans voted in last week's poll and the winner, with 48 per cent, is option 1 - the silver shirt featuring a Sheffield Wednesday blue and white trim, including retro-style stripes on the right shoulder.

Additionally, the club and official manufacturers PUMA can reveal some extra special features added to the shirt. A watermarked Owl logo is shown across the front and Theo -the mascot of The Children's Hospital, Sheffield - is included on the back in representation of Sheffield Wednesday's ongoing support of the local charity.

The full kit is finished off with silver shorts and socks, complete with matching blue trim, and will be available for supporters to buy at the end of the current season.

The full results of the vote are:
Option 1 (Silver) - 48%
Option 2 (Green) - 22%
Option 3 (Orange) - 30%

Thanks to James

better this than the green & orange ones. it's a shame, the owls deserve a better kit than this from puma

I wont think Wednesday would get a individual watermark of the owl on their shirt surely? No disrespect to the club but its just Puma would only give originality like that of the likes of Tottenham, Newcastle and...thats about it over here in Britiain. All the rest of the clubs in Britain get their kits chosen and designed by "genesis" which is just irritating :/

Shame there was no Yellow option. Wednesday have previously had some nice Yellow with Blue away kits and it would have been good in this template.

There is a sponsor on the rear of the shirt, it's the Sheffield Childrens Hospital Society I believe. Tastefully put at the back top collar. If it indeed gets the Owls watermark, this'll be a pretty good shirt when actually in production. I just think their mockups lack. I was critical of the Puma Newcastle shirt but the fit and quality of the shirt left nothing to be desired.

I'd have so much proffered a change and had a pink kit, Seeing as we've never had one and had all the other colours before.

I would have preffered to have seen a new home kit as the current one is to ordinary, I want to go back to the 95/96 season with the 1 blue stripe down the middle class kit.
