spain 11-12 adidas home football shirt

This is the new Spain 11/12 Home football kit made by Adidas, which will be available here.

adidas unveils the new jersey to be worn by the Spanish football team in their qualifying matches leading up to UEFA EURO 2012™.  This jersey features a special addition - the badge awarded to the team today by FIFA™ as winners of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.

This jersey is born from within, stemming from our passion for “La Roja” (“the Reds”), a passion which we feel, share, live and dream, thanks to our team.  The new red, the jersey of the World Champions, is born from these attributes which mark our new status as champions.

A dynamic design, reflecting the style on the pitch, contains strips of electric blue down the sides and on the shoulders to match the shorts.  A yellow line running around the v-neck collar, symbolising the Spanish flag, gives it an added touch of grandeur.

But above all, it pays great tribute to our champions, complete with the gold star on the badge, the stitching "FIFA World Champions 2010" on the inside of the collar and the World Cup Champions badge awarded by FIFA™.

The new jersey of the Spanish football Federation will be worn for the first time on November 17th at the friendly match Portugal-Spain in Lisbon.

Thanks to Diego and Sergio

Spain joins England in the "replace our World Cup unis a couple months later to cash in on the fans" club. And it's a huge downgrade from the fantastic simplicity of their previous kit. Unnecessary blue spots galore.

Except Spain won the World Cup, thus having a new badge to commemorate said win on their new shirts, which are going to last for a while, methinks.

England, though, have no right to do that. As the chant goes, "1966! 1966! You've done f_u_c_k all since 1966!"

The number is a bit to high... makes the kit overloaded...

As someone who's literally just purchased the Spain Light Blue Goalkeeper's shirt I would just like to 'thank' Spain for issuing this shirt out of the blue.

Different designs...both of the major players are guilty of using the same template from time to time, but I think the most recent World Cup is pretty clear about which one uses the same template more often. And, that would be adidas. Though, their big players get different templates, the lesser teams who also made the world cup received similar kits just in different colors to make it worse than Nike, who made unique-ish kits for all of it's WC participants.

I guarantee you this new Spain Template will pop-up much more frequently in the near future when other nations begin to replace their older shirts.

Is it me, or are the shorts and socks literally the exact same as the last kit? It appears as though they've only introduced a new shirt and left the rest the same. This would be a good kit if it weren't for the blue armpit colors. I can deal with the sleeves in blue, but the rest is too much. The World Cup shirt was better anyways.

+6 # 2010-11-15 21:26
PS- that World Cup champions badge makes the shirt too cluttered. They should put it on the sleeve or something so the front isn't so jumbled up. Too much stuff on the front.

Spain taking the pi$$ with all these jersey releases. they had a euro 2008 shirt, a confederations cup shirt, a world cup shirt and now a '2011' shirt. its one thing cubs doing this but internationals don't play even half the amount of games as clubs in a season

yeah. Mexico. Great team with so much history, a dominant force in CONCACAF, with other titans of the sport such as Honduras, Costa Rica, and Guatemala.

Let's not forget that Mexico still has trouble beating those "Gringos" on a consistent basis.

Please, stop parading Mexico as if they were the greatest team ever to have existed. That title goes (rightfully) to Brazil historically, and currently (rightfully as well) to Spain.

When you win a major tournament (no, Confederation's Cup does not count), come back and talk.

-7 # 2010-11-16 04:28
And also, I'm not saying the US is a bad team-- they've made great strides in recent years, but they still don't have the consistency to seriously compete for major tournaments.

If they get rid of Bob Bradley and get a real coach, they could be really good.

And whilst they're at it, bring the black socks back too, instead of red with navy turnovers. Red-blue-black with yellow trim was Spain's kit for decades, then Adidas fudged it up.

Anyway I prefer the previous home shirt, far nicer than this new one. Also what is going to happen to the navy change kit (used in the World Cup final)... they getting rid of that too for a white one in the same design that we've seen floating about on the internet the same time as this new home shirt????

The blue stripes on the front of the shirt look out of place and don't match the shape of any other design element of the kit.

The same goes for the dark blue trim on the socks since there's no other kit element of that color .

Also the kit looked more bad-a$$ when a few years ago they used the dark blue instead of light blue shorts and socks.

I'd get rid of the patches on the shoulders and under the arms. Also, I would like the shorts to be a royal blue colour, and see a return to black socks from the 1980s and earlier :

How long did the last kit last, 1 year!

Also that kit will be remembered as Spain's winning kit, surely better to keep it than release a new horribly designed kit that will never be remembered.

Personally there is way too much blue on the shirts, there should be hardly any if any, the World Cup winning shirt was great if you ask me, could have just done with having dark blue socks and it would have been just right.

The Spanish World Cup winning strip will go down as a modern classic, a simple, understated piece of design, a masterpiece.

This, on the other hand, is a disasterpiece. Cluttered layout, too many logos, unnecessary flashes, patches and visual filler on the chest area.

One for the bargain bin.

World and europe champions kit must be absolutely different
not like chelsea fc,(Only colours are different). Only 3 teams
Germany, France and now Spane could win both titles simultaneously. Therefore spane's awey kit must be golden
yellow like spane's flag middle strip and from the country's
coat of arms take 3 wavy strips (wich are under right and left column) and run down jerseys left and right sleeves. Imagine
whot briliant kit will be, not like faceless white one like many clubs use
Adidas man diskuss this in company and twitter halp me to
contact them.
