This is the new Stade Rennais home kit for the 2011/2012 French Ligue 1 season manufactured by Puma.
Rennes are known by their fans as Les Rouges et Noirs or in English The Red and Blacks representing the teams traditional colours.
The new kit from Puma bears quite a resemblence to their 2008-2009 kit from Puma which was relatively plain in design and had a simple black collar. The main difference in the two shirts lie in the newly implemented black sash across the shirt. On the back of the neck of the shirt is an ermine spot, a symbol close to the Brittany region of France where Rennes is located.
