stoke city 11-12 adidas kit

FA CUP Finalists Stoke City will bear a striking resemblance to Inter Milan on their travels . . . following the unveiling of their new away kit for next season.

The new adidas strip which City will wear in the 2011-12 campaign has a blue and black striped shirt most commonly associated with the Italian giants.

It certainly got the seal of approval of central defensive pair Ryan Shawcross and Robert Huth when they showed off the kit for the first time this week.

"Let's hope we can play like Inter Milan too," smiled City's captain Shawcross. "It looks very impressive and I am sure it will be a winner with our fans."

The 2011-12 away kit will hit the Official Club Stores on Saturday ahead of the game at Aston Villa and will be available to order online.

City's Head of Commercial Andrew Billingham said: "This is another big step forward for the Club and I am sure all our supporters going to the away matches at Aston Villa and Blackpool over the next fortnight will want to get their hands on the new shirt.

"This reflects the progress being made by providing the quality and excellence of market-leading products for our playing squad, staff and supporters.

"We have worked closely with our Principal Club Partner Britannia to incorporate their brand into the new look to the shirt and we are delighted with the result."

The new away shirts start at £42.00 for adults and £32.00 for juniors, while there is also a range of away goalkeeper's kit available with the launched product.

True but Milkman is also correct, Boro did have an away like this about 6-8 years ago, of course made by Errea not Adidas but similar stripes

One of the best I've seen for a while.

Nice and simple - looks great.

Collar needlessly fussy, but the overall look is top.

Black and blue, the same colour any opposing team will be after 90mins!

Good luck at Wembley Stoke!

Not much is better than beating the Gunners!

Nice kit, but to be honest without that so-called weird collar, that shirt would be so boring.

Its not a template, its been adapted, check the adidas teamwear site, on the stoke kit there's no big nasty slashes of white on the sides, etc. All the big teams have had adapted templates, chelski and liverpool have most seasons, as have ajax for their away kits (that lovely black one they had the other year - template), its only the odd season that any of them get genuine one-offs. I'll gladly buy this, can't wait to catch a glimpse of the new home kit as well. Also, that newcastle kit looked gash, this one looks really nice. Just wait til you see us coming out on the pitch in it, we'll look huuuge! (even huuuger)

also, as someone who remembers some of the disgusting kits we've had over the years, this is like a breath of fresh air! can't wait to try it on later this afternoon.

Nice looking kit, and I quite like the collar - it's a bit different and works well on the shirts I've seen so far.

Not crazy about adidas finishing their stripes part-way down the sleeve these days - if there's no badge in the "gap" the shirt looks a bit "unfinished", for mine.

FIFA regulations - theyve gotta allow a gap for sponsors/patches (and also if they want to use this template for a team from the Americas). I personally think it looks alright on this shirt.

Nice kit, the main problem I have is the club crest, I think Stoke should give the one they used in the 60s and 70s an update and use that one. The current one looks a bit generic and if you removed the lettering and foundation date, it could be used by any team that plays in red and white

Stoke have played in blue and black before, when they were just called Stoke, but the blue was lighter and they wore hoops. Overall, its a nice kit, and the collar really works well here.

Manchester United, Arsenal, now Stoke.. Is it a new fashion in the Premier League to have a Black/Blue away shirt for the next season?

The shirt is a mixture of 3-4 Adidas Templates and people keep saying it looks like an old Newcastle third kit or Boro Away......they share only mild similarities, even the blue is a different shade when viewed properly. The collar has been stolen from another lesser known brand from a few years back I only know this cause I use to do templates for a game, the collar shouldn't be white it stands out too much.

Overall it's a nice kit and I've already purchased the top.

loverly shirt in fact my pal paul if he was alive he would say this "get the shirt its a good team why not get yaself one" and if i did get this shirt i would most likely to put 5 COLLINS on the shirt in reference to one of my pals who last name is collins

It's not a bad shirt. Would have suggested another color rather then blue to make it a bit less Milan-esque. Maybe a deeply saturated green or a clay pot sort of color, but overall it's not an awful look.

Actually, a pottery-colored kit would be interesting to consider for the future. Sort of a medium khaki. Salutes the team name while managing to look suitably different from the home stripes.
