Stoke City FC 2011/12 Adidas Home Kit

This is the new Stoke City kit for the 2011/2012 English Premier League season manufactured by Adidas.

Seen here modelled by Jermaine Pennant, the kit was unveiled yesterday at the clubs end of season awards dinner.

The kit uses the same template as their new away kit which was released last month but in their more familar red and white stripes. Also released and pictured below is the new goalkeeper kit modelled by Bosnian goalkeeper Asmir Begović.

The new kits are like to be worn competitively first in the Europa League which Stoke qualified for as a result of being runners up in the FA Cup final.

Thanks to Stephen

This season's kit is better. Also, the red bit across the shoulder looks like the Puma african kits. Not a disaster though, clean and tasteful. 6.5/10

Shut up. We all know the story about teams with red and white kits getting relelgated when they have plain red sleeves. Southampton, Sunderland, Sheff Utd. But it seems to have slipped your attention that Stoke had plain red sleeves last season and they're still up there.

I went to the End of Season Awards Dinner last night, and I have to say it looks much better on. The stripes at the back go all the way down, there's not even a name panel. Some people will call it lazy from Adidas, but until we have the selling power that Newcastle did with Adidas and Chelsea have, we will have to put up with kits that are not unique to us. All things considered I think this is a nice clean kit. 8/10 compared to last seasons 4/10.

No broken back - why does every team in the league playing in stripes next season have a kit with unbroken stripes - with the exception of Newcastle?

Good shirt, by the way. Collar looks good too.

adidas: lets move our logo from the shoulder to mid chest, and call it a new shirt...but i guess theres only so much that can be done with stripes... not bad, better than the Toon's new kit

It is nice, have the socks remained the same as last seasons though? Shorts are a bit big. I prefer them a little bit higher up so we can see a big of thigh (I am not homocensoredual). I prefer it if the kits were more fitted, not necessarily skin tight.

Probably not worth buying if you've got a 2010/11 one, but at least the dodgy "tyre track" effect is gone.

I'll be buying this year's away shirt, though.

Considering the uproar regarding the all red back last season I'd imagine quite a high demand for this.

Nice how the collar fits in with the stripe. But seeing Jermaine Pennant in the kit is a good advertisement for NOT buying it!

I think Pennant could have done with a smaller size in both the shirt and shorts because it looks too big for him which has a negative effect on the appearance of the kit.

Overall though I really like it. It's definitely more "classic Stoke" with the stripes returning to the back of the shirt. If anything the sleeves should be all white with red adidas stripes because white has traditionally been the more dominant colour on Stoke strips but in comparison to this year's kit it's a great improvement and definitely a step in the right direction from both the club and Adidas.

europa league you're having a laugh. Don't forget it's just the 1ST qualifying round you are talking about. Probably get your sorry long-ball-hoofing asses kicked by some unheard-of second-rate Albanian or Estonian side.

Is it a new kit? I cannot tell the difference with these dire, boring, soulless adidas kits. I think they do the worst kits on the market at the moment. They rarely produce good football kits.

sorry, but i have to disagree with you, respectfully! i think ADIDAS bring out the better kits, along with UMBRO. who are doing really great kits for England and Man c !!

not a fan of not having the latest adidas design kits, unlike chelsea, liverpool, real madrid etc, puts you in the same league as swindon town with the same kits you can buy for your sunday league team, bit like having the rubbish adidas predators instead of the proper ones, always gonna get stick.

Adidas gave AC Milan and Chelsea so nice jerseys and gives this awful one to Stoke? For God's sake. I like the colors, not the jersey model.
