Tottenham Hotspur 2011/12 Puma Home, Away and Third Kits

These are the new Tottenham Hotspur home, away and third shirts for the 2011/12 English Premier League season manufactured by Puma, which are available here.

We showed you some leaked images of the new Spurs home shirt a few weeks ago here but now it has been officially released and has had the sponsor logo added. The sponsor isn't entirely new, it is still Autonomy sponsored but now with the logo of a division of the company instead.

The home shirt is plain white with the only form of trim on the shirt coming from the logos on the chest and sleeves. The rest of the kit follows this plain style with the shorts and socks not featuring any fancy flashes of colour either.

Tottenham return to a purple away shirt for the first time in nearly twelve years (not including the Kappa third shirt). The shirt features a white round neck colour and shiny striping on both the shirt and sleeves. The shorts and socks are also purple, unlike the home however they does feature a slight trim in the shape of a triangle on the shorts and two stripes on the socks as well as 'Spurs' wrote below and Puma logo.

The new black third kit which will only be sold direct from official Tottenham stores comes in a template already seen with Newcastle and Feyenoord away kits so far, has a white and yellow trim and a V-neck collar.

The last image below shows the new home, away and third goalkeeper tops to be worn through the course of the season.

Thanks to Samui

Hopefully some release without the sponsor. Last seasons kits without the sponsor are on MMSPORTS.com and I think Kitbag has/had as well. I'm not exactly sure why some release like this, but I've seen them.

Bauhaus and all. I mean, if they were going to be THAT lazy about picking a font, they could've easily just gone with Times New Roman. I mean, it's the default bloody font, like. That means they deliberately went out of their way to pick Bauhaus.

Goalkeeper kits aren't allowed to clash with either of the outfield kits or the referee kit so sometimes a wide range of colours are required.

Probably to make opposing players have a seizure and screw up before they get too close to Gomes so that he doesnt look as bad as he did last season.

It would be so much easier and they would get more money for the club if they sold gomes, got decent kits and put Cudicini in goal

Pretty dull second, and the third not sure about. The all white shirt is quite nice, but the quality of the fabrics wont be as nice in all probability for the shirt, in comparision to Umbro or kappa.

Puma have played it safe though, and at least they have not added a third kit with the colours of their closest rivals on it, unlike another german kit maker in the last year of the contract of a famous English club............

favourite set of puma strips this season. home shirt is simple but soooooo much better than last seasons training top. purple is fantastic and the black is very smart (even though it is very similar to others released. overall a good effort by puma, as they have not over complicated any of the strips

Love the home kit, but why oh why couldn't Aurasma be in the same dark blue as the shorts?

The away and third kits aren't the traditional colours of Tottenham Hotspur, can't we just keep with the simple palette we have in the light blue and yellow? Its not bad but where did purple come from?

I'd love to keep the simple home kit and just see all light blue and all yellow plain kits. Clean stylish and historic.

Some companies are able to pull off a logo without attaching a bunch of unsightly lettering to it. I would have liked to have seen this shirt sponsor take that bold step and just have the A logo without the text below it. But perhaps that is asking a bit too much of them.

The home shirt is very plain, even more-so then last year. I would have liked to have seen a small bit of yellow added back in to balance everything out, but as it stands the home kit isn't anything ghastly. The away shirt is nice, and I am a fan of the sublimated stripes. Purple is a bit underused in sport sometimes, and it's nice to see the Spurs giving it a go. The third kit has the spots of yellow that I would have loved to have seen on the white home shirt, but on black instead. Never been wild for the so-called "black for black's sake" kits, but it could have been much worse. The three keeper shirts, however, just seem like overkill, and I'd target the black and white shirt as the one that's least necessary.

...although perhaps it may be if they end up in a friendly with the Miami Hurricanes college American football team.

The middle keeper shirt seems to have a wider spread of letters in the sponser...?

In the other two the final 'a' is directly under the Spurs badge, on the middle one it's more the 'm' that's under the badge.

Sad I know to notice such things - but bit odd isn't it??!

looking again maybe a photoshop on middle keeper kit - the letters don't ben with the shirt at all, unlike other two.

WOW this is crap the home shirt is okay could have done with some Navy blue detailing on it., not yellow tottenham are not leeds plus yellow doesn't go with white. the away kit is totally the wrong shade of purple should be like the madrid purple and the kit template is so boring and cheap looking. i don't see why we couldn't have the bordeux 3rd kit but instead of black with pink fading chevrons it could have been navy with purple fading chevron's. that would have been a brilliant throw back to the Umbro 95 away kit (one of the greatest) the one Klinsmann scored his 1st spurs goal in. as for the 3rd kit it's pretty good if over used but black is not a spurs colour so it doesn't look like a spurs shirt.

got to say i'm glad this is puma's last season but i'm not looking forward to Under Amour at all there Hanover kits r crap and the way levy picks the shirt designs we r in for a lot of crap shirts.

rant over.

The 2nd Kit looks to have been found in the dumpster at the back of DREAM TEAM Studios....

I know sponsors have been around for so long now - but what I'm trying to say is that the sponsers name takes a lot away from the shirt itself. For the sponser thats great for tradionalists its shit

and I'm not a tard - you turd!!!

I am a big fan of the home and away strips, though I personally prefer the home strip with navy socks with white tops.

I just don't like the third strip at all. Poor template and black should only be worn by referees in my opinion.

The home kit is really nice, but the sponsor ruins it.
The black kit is average and the same template as Newcastle's new 3rd kit, but the sponsor ruins it.
The purple kit is a purple kit and purple is the worst colour ever, so the sponsors s***ness just matches the rest of the kit.
The keeper kits are brilliant, but again, the fact the sponsor's font makes it look like they're sponsored by some cheap European supermarket again takes the edge off their brilliance.

AAAAH I FEEL THE NEED TO SHOUT SO MUCH....AAAH CAPS LOCK...AAAAH!!

And no, you are really not going to win the league.

I suggest you familiarise yourself with the term 'one season wonder' and even that is pushing it. Success is following up on what you have already done...you buggered that up by failing to reach the CL again. Bye bye top players.

Do people not realise the connection between using a retro, pro-minimalist connoted font & the simplicity of these kits.
As someone else pointed out- Bauhaus = connotations with minimalism movements, ergo it links with the simplistic kit designs.

What's up with people calling the away purple? On Sky they said it was royal blue and it looks that way to me?

The pro-minimalist connoted font and simplicity of the kits is all well and good, it's the big awkward A logo that ruins it. For some reason it worked well with last years kit, but not with Aurasma. If they used just the font like on Aurasma's website it'd of looked hell classy.

Pump Bold font from 1970 inspired by Bauhaus. The font worked in the 70s and 80s but it looks crap now, even if they're trying to be retro. Autonomy's branding in itself is terrible. These guys need a new corporate brand company to help them out.

As for the shirts, pretty basic but I like that.
