VfL Wolfsburg 2011/12 Adidas Home Kit

The is the new VfL Wolfsburg home kit for the 2011/12 German Bundesliga / 2. Bundesliga season manufacturerd by Adidas.

The new kit comes in a bright lime green colour, a stark contrast to the much darker shade of green that has been employed the past 10 years.

A unique feature of the shirt can be found inside the collar, a green mood with the silhouette of a holwling wolf inside it representing the clubs nickname as 'Die Wölfe' or 'The Wolves'.

The kit was first used yesterday in a 1-2 defeat at home at 1. FC Kaiserslautern and will go on official sale tomorrow (May 9th).

Its deffinatly one of Adidas's better templates, but in my opinion a club like wolfsburg deserve a bespoke kit. I really hope this becomes Aberdeens template.

it started when they had a deal with nike's teamwear in which they had only one kind of green in their catalog.. and now since they are growing in the last few years, adidas has decided to treat them better ..

Looks like they've finally reminded themselves of their stellar lighter green jerseys back in the 90s.

One of the few adidas kits I actually like this year.

First off Wolfsburg need to higher out a good designer to completely re-design the club badge as a big W does nothing for tradition, history, culture so surly the club could use the historic connection to Volkswagen and the fact that the club triumphed over nearly disappearing in 1945 to some narrative effect here.

Then the kit to which I quite like the colour and Adidas template but would have gone with white shorts to break the colour up a bit (also tying in nicely with the origins of the clubs green kit in 1945)

Just a thought.

it's VW's club and that much of an iconic bit of branding I doubt it'll change. There is that fuc king template again, they just saving one for all the big teams? Ridiculous. Fun colour though
