west brom Albion 11/12 third football shirt

This is the new West Bromwich Albion 11/12 Third football shirt made by Adidas.

The Baggies registered the adidas design with the Barclays Premier League in case their traditional blue-and-white-striped first kit and cyan-and-navy change strip clashed with other teams' home colours.

And the PGMO (Professional Game Match Officials) have requested the team to wear the red outfit (modelled by Paul Scharner) at Stamford Bridge, after deciding Albion's other two strips are too similar to Chelsea's home kit.

"We're a little bit surprised we have been asked to wear the red kit this early in the season, especially as we've worn blue-and-white stripes at Chelsea in the Premier League before," said chief executive Mark Jenkins.

"But we respect the PGMO's decision and will kit out the team accordingly."

Albion will stock a limited number of red third kits in club stores from October - and the Baggies will be hoping it once again proves a lucky colour.

Albion have had red kits in each of the past two seasons - as a change strip in 2009/10 and as a third kit last term - and have only lost once while wearing it.

Awful. Absolutely awful. I understand why kit manufacturers make templates, but the fact that they refuse to make bespoke kits for each team in the biggest football league in the world is utterly pathetic. This is a 2-year old template. A Premier League team (whether it's Man U or Swansea) deserves better.

You mean a 0-year old template, right?

Because this kit, which is called the Toque II, is a brand new teamwear kit for 2011-2012.

It's a decent kit, template or not, just because it's a template doesnt mean it can't be a good kit, I don't rate Nike or Adidas or Puma anymore, the material is sh!t and the template designs are boring, but on the other hand I like this template and the colour fits in with it well, stop moaning! =L

If they had left the sewing stitches of the arms and chest red thread instead of white that would have been a great kit...

More of a white trim on the socks would have been better?

I thought WBA had blue and white stripes. The surely have a lot of our Bodog (Bull Dog) spirit. Should have beaten Manu. The kit will confuse opposition. Who will think they are playing Bayen Munich. Shirt looks tight fit, and will encourage them to play tight games. Expect them to get promoted to Premier League. Well thought out kit.

stop moaning about templates. It's not practical to design different kits for every team

who cares if its a template? it looks very nice, the red and white along with the template gives the kit a classic adidas look.

stop moaning about templates, just because its a template does not mean it is rubbish.

Surprise, surprise; an effortless bog standard template from the nice folks at Adidas. Including the inevitable, unneccessary Adidas stripes, which add nothing positive to the kit at all.

Can`t believe clubs still opt for these soulless kits. And it isn`t just Adidas who`s at fault; Puma and Nike are just as bad.

It's in honour of Simon Cox's favourite team so he can still imagine he is playing for the Town. Thanks Baggies!

If West Brom stuck to their traditional away kit of yellow and green stripes then they would not need to disguise themselves as Swindon to play at Stamford Bridge.

Obviously a last-minute quick template given to them by Adidas, because they needed a 3rd kit. I think Swindon has the exact same kit.

Looks good enough, will fill its purpose nicely.
