ipswich town 12-13 mitre football shirts

Ipswich Town have launched the home and away kit for next season, with four of the Blues appearing in a promotional video to back the new look.

Carlos Edwards, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Arran Lee-Barrett and Josh Carson 'starred' in the production that was filmed at Easton Farm Park , with the four joined by a wide range of co-stars!

"I am absolutely delighted with the new kits from Mitre for the 2012/13 season," said Town's retail manager, Lee Hyde.

"The classic, clean, powerful look of the kits has been a real hit with the players and the manager and we're hoping that the fans love them too.

"The quality of the fabrics used this season is fantastic. The kits look and feel superb.

"We are the first English League club to unveil the new look for next season and that is testament to the work Mitre have put in over the last six months - and we are delighted with the end result."

The new kits have certainly gone down well with the players with Carlos adding: "I really like the red stripe. I think that works well against the blue and the shirt is certainly comfortable to wear as well. Hopefully it can prove to be a winning look for us on the pitch next season."

Team-mate Josh Carson was equally impressed with the black and white away shirt, saying: "It's a classic look. I think the fans will really take to both kits. Making the video was a great laugh as well. I can't wait to see the out-takes!"

All home and away shirts will all carry the 'three stars', which depict the three major trophies won by the Club.

The shirts will retail at £42.99 for adults and £31.99 for children. If both home and away shirts are pre-ordered in the same size, there will be a discount of £5.98 per order, reducing the shirts to £40 adults and £29 children.

Thanks to Ipsrich

Fabric on the home shirt looks disgusting.

The shirt design's passable, if actually quite good. Nice to see a bit of red on there.

Can't really fault the away.

Can't the club owner allow something nicer to be done with his logo? It's just too big and imbalanced on the home shirt.

Pretty decent.

Good to see red make a prominant return. I'm not sure if the silkyness on the home shirt is due to the lighting though.

Looks quite good though the sponsor looks to be too low down (and it's wonky on the away shirt) but overall very good.

But why if the club is owned by Marcus Evans does he feel the need to waste the look of the club's shirts by adding a big advertising logo on it? It's hardly as if he needs any more money...

Good to see IT back in White/Black for the change strip. Anyone noticing that a third colour is creeping back in shirts again?

whereas the home shirt looks nice and intimidating, the away looks like porridge, dull and uninteresting!
if the away was black and red in the same style as the home, now that would be an away kit!!
away awful!
keeper uninspiring also!

I gather the chicken is Ipswich's new marquee signing. Apparently, it was going to Aston Villa but they couldn't meet it's wage demands.

Come on, the material on the home shirt is great, a total throwback to the material used in the early 80s along with a similar cut/fit for the shirt. Look at the Admiral England shirts in the 80s, Umbro's main material until '87 was similar.

Home = too shiny, and Jay Emmanuel Thomas looks like he's about to kill the photographer.
Away = the photoshopped splashes makes it look like Josh Carson has fouled himself.

I agree with Donnypool, the fabric is terrible which puts a dampener on what looks a terrific design!
I think the red on the sleeves is also a grand addition stopping it from looking like another boring typical blue shirt!

Away shirt looks a bit Preston like but it works, and I like the colour balance, white shorts wouldn't have suited this kit given the badge colour!
Can't go wrong with the keeper kit tbh, never TOO fussed on them. IMO to BUY a keepers shirt as your annual shirt you have to like it to buy it, as much as I like it if I was an Ipswich fan I couldn't see me buying it or remembering too much of it but it's an okay kit!

Decent kits for Town next season by the looks of things!

You can't judge the material of a shirt on a photograph! wait until you have actually seen it in the flesh before making a comment like that. The Home shirt is so shiney because of the lighting, you can tell from the same shine on JETS skin. Both look good.

It's not bad, and you can't fault the design but like said before the material looks pretty horrible. The sooner Ipswich get away from Mitre the better in my opinion!

I've gotta love any football team nicknamed the "Tractor Boys"! Because guys who ride tractors are an underrepresented demographic of football fans.

That said, they sell Mitre gear at Wal-Mart, for crying out loud...

It's so boring when teams use the same template for both home and away.

It's as if the manufacturer couldn't be hooped thinking about a fresh design and shows a clear lack of commitment to the club.

Also why is the 'keeper jersey the focal point of the group photo? Most 'keeper shirts are :-x

I wasn't being sarcastic. I really do live in farm country in the USA. A John Deere combine just went down my road awhile ago the plow the fields for spring corn planting. And I really do love the nickname Tractor Boys. I am a fan of ITFC because of that nickname, and I wish them all the best. Seriously.
