middlesbrough 12/13 adidas home away football shirts

Middlesbrough's new adidas home shirt for next season sees the return of the white chestband that has become such a popular feature with supporters over the years - and it's now on sale.

The chestband has become something of a trademark since it was first worn by Jack Charlton's Second Division champions in 1974 and reappears for the first time since 2008-09.

Next season's shirt, which includes the three white adidas stripes on the sleeves, will be paired with red shorts with a white trim and red socks.

The away kit features a shirt in striking sky blue and navy, with navy shorts and sky-blue socks.

Two goalkeeper kits will be introduced next season. The first is in a fluorescent orange/pink design described by adidas as "warning", the second is turquoise, described as "super cyan".

Both feature half-black sleeves with white stripes and matching socks.

Many of the products use innovative Climacool or Climawarm technologies, which work together to regulate the athlete's body temperature better than any single fabric can.

Thanks to Ste and Nick

Not bad. Nice to see the three stripes go all the way down on the sleeve again.

I don't know why you would. It means the sleeve patches don't stick as well. All shirts should have space on the sleeves for competition patches. Idiotic that the GK shirts have that space, but the outfield shirts don't.

Perhaps Ratonu likes the shirt as it is, with no championship badges on them.

On the shirts, the home is great, a new twist on the chest band, and Sky Blue and Navy almost always go together like bangers and mash.

Agree. There should be a space for patches. The away kit does, though.

The reason that the GK shirts also do have the space, is because every non-major adidas team have the same goalkeeper jerseys...

Look like a bunch of fecking Power Rangers outfits...Thought Boro would have learnt from last season that the green Ramsden logo is a no go!

its in the contract that ramsdens get their full logo as they dont believe the name alone is distinguishable as a brand.

That main picture is slightly cringey.
Don't think they should give up football for an acting job. :-?

Big improvement on this season's. The main picture looks like they were told by the photographer they'd be superimposed onto a stadium background and then never got round to doing it.

being the massive boro fan i am, the description is wrong. as we last had a chest band in 2010-11;) I like the kits personally. The shorts on the orange keeper kit look a bit out of place to be honest

I simply don't get Adidas now ... For a few years they've been deliberately 'breaking' the three stripes for some reason or another creating a kind of odd look on some of their kits, especially the long sleeve versions ...

... And now they come up with a template (and I'm referring to the away kit here) where the lines would naturally break and what do they do? Just continue the lines breaking into a different colour, creating some light colour on light colour clash!

Home kit is a nice one though. Can the sponsor though, if it was the 333 bet company from a few years ago it would've looked a LOT nicer.

Home kit looks like a mix of this and last season's. Pretty neat, but I'd feel ripped off if I was a fan. Away kit is really nice.

May be the new Adidas templates, but I like them.

All the pictures suggest the orange is home GK and sky blue is away GK - which makes little sense as they are similar colours. Not a criticism just a tad confused if they are meant to be that way round

Looks like they want to make it out to look like a short sleeve keeper top but actually it's long sleeved. They're playing with our minds...

When you've seen one boro shirt, you've seen them all: all red with a tacky big white stripe in the middle. Give me black and white stripes anyday...

The away kit is awesome. I like the home shirt but the wonky band is gonna take some getting used to. I think i've seen the design as the swindon away shirt for next season.
