middlesbrough 12/13 adidas home away football shirts

Middlesbrough's new adidas home shirt for next season sees the return of the white chestband that has become such a popular feature with supporters over the years - and it's now on sale.

The chestband has become something of a trademark since it was first worn by Jack Charlton's Second Division champions in 1974 and reappears for the first time since 2008-09.

Next season's shirt, which includes the three white adidas stripes on the sleeves, will be paired with red shorts with a white trim and red socks.

The away kit features a shirt in striking sky blue and navy, with navy shorts and sky-blue socks.

Two goalkeeper kits will be introduced next season. The first is in a fluorescent orange/pink design described by adidas as "warning", the second is turquoise, described as "super cyan".

Both feature half-black sleeves with white stripes and matching socks.

Many of the products use innovative Climacool or Climawarm technologies, which work together to regulate the athlete's body temperature better than any single fabric can.

I don't know why you would. It means the sleeve patches don't stick as well. All shirts should have space on the sleeves for competition patches. Idiotic that the GK shirts have that space, but the outfield shirts don't.

Perhaps Ratonu likes the shirt as it is, with no championship badges on them.

On the shirts, the home is great, a new twist on the chest band, and Sky Blue and Navy almost always go together like bangers and mash.

being the massive boro fan i am, the description is wrong. as we last had a chest band in 2010-11;) I like the kits personally. The shorts on the orange keeper kit look a bit out of place to be honest

I simply don't get Adidas now ... For a few years they've been deliberately 'breaking' the three stripes for some reason or another creating a kind of odd look on some of their kits, especially the long sleeve versions ...

... And now they come up with a template (and I'm referring to the away kit here) where the lines would naturally break and what do they do? Just continue the lines breaking into a different colour, creating some light colour on light colour clash!

Home kit is a nice one though. Can the sponsor though, if it was the 333 bet company from a few years ago it would've looked a LOT nicer.

May be the new Adidas templates, but I like them.

All the pictures suggest the orange is home GK and sky blue is away GK - which makes little sense as they are similar colours. Not a criticism just a tad confused if they are meant to be that way round

The two GK shirts look weird with half black sleeves :-?

Looks like they want to make it out to look like a short sleeve keeper top but actually it's long sleeved. They're playing with our minds...

When you've seen one boro shirt, you've seen them all: all red with a tacky big white stripe in the middle. Give me black and white stripes anyday...

Oh yeah, the newcastle kits are always vastly different aren't they? [censored]ing humbugs.
