swansea city 12/13 adidas away football shirt

Unrivaled pride and passion were met with praise and points as Brendan Rodgers's side defied the critics and maintained the Swans' top-flight status. Now they celebrate that superb achievement and 100 years of Swansea City with the launch of the new Adidas away kit for the 2012-13 season.

They were bursting with pride in becoming the first club to represent Wales and fly the flag in the Premier League - so proud and patriotic that they will wear their nation's colours up and down stadiums throughout England next season, spreading the good word of Swansea City and Wales everywhere they go.

The club will reflect their national pride with a new red, white and green centenary away kit, which will be available from Thursday, June 7 in the club shop and online.

Swansea City's new crest will also be dominated by the nation's colours while on the back of the shirts "Jacks" is inscribed in gold as they embrace the club and country culture.

Cardiff and Wrexham in the play-offs for a few years now, I wouldn't say we were starved of success.

Nobody bar Swansea fans are getting excited by their success either, that statement is like saying United fans and City fans like to support each other. :-*

I agree Deryn, It would be nice to see Wrexham in League Football again, as for Cardiff I was very excited about last nights result!

should be playing in the welsh league

Swansea Town (later city) became founder members of the new Third Division of The Football League in 1920.

Yes founder members so why should they play in wales when they helped to make what the football league is today

er actually no they didnt you'll find it was villa everton and notts county to name a few, who made the league what is is today. Mr McGregor who founded villa put it to other teams owners to make the very 1st league of football in England! so there for ur talking shiiiiiiiit :)

If you read my post properly I said newly formed third division not first, so unless the third division was'nt part of the football league (which it was) then they didn't help to make the football league what it is today :-)

you only became swansea city from town (1982) because you re-branded after cheating the tax man and shafting your creditors, so how is it a centenary year.?

Exactly hate it when teams do this and think its a centenary, Dundee United done this but seem to have forgotten they were called Dundee Hibernian and went out of business stupid cunts

Dundee Hibernian didn't go out of business. They were in financial trouble and the group of local business who wanted to buy out the club decided that they wanted to widen the appeal of the club beyond the catholic community so changed the name to United. The club has never went out of business and they have never forgotten that they were called Dundee Hibernian either.

stupid censored indeed. :-|

The welsh league is histerical.....one man and his dog and a couple of simpletons watching pub league 'pel droed'! Cardiff and Swansea have booted out the idea of being 'invited' back into the welsh cup also....Question...More presence and pride in possibly 2 welsh teams in the prem or Swans and Blubirds playing TNS and Airbus !!! Bye bye joker !!

You realise english teams play in the welsh league? And the scottish league, Canadian teams play in the American League, German in the Swiss.

It's not unusual at all, you obviously don't know anything about football.

National pride ? Surely there's some mistake . swansea fans don't follow Wales and why are there union jacks at thier council house ground . Adidas produce rubbish football strips and this is no exeption . horrible badge too must have been designed by joey deacon !

Complete and utter nonsense, and I bet you're not even a Bluebird either, but a SAIS instead. The bigger vermin!

Only a handful of Jacks supporters take the Butchers Apron to matches, but that's up to them. Personally that flag has no place in Wales, never mind at a Welsh football ground.

And as for your remark about the national team, you couldn't be any further from the truth. There's a lot of support for the national team here, contrary to what the Cockney Media tell you about the "Swansea-Cardiff rivalry" at international games.

The badge is great - simple, elegant, not some overbloated heraldry nonsense or something extremely elaborate. And the new shirt is great and very patriotic.

So stick that in your pipe!

That would make a lovely Wrexham kit!

It certainly would, though I think red/white/red with white adidas trim and only a dash of green would be a good Wrexham kit, like the late 70's adidas kit.

And I hope you get promoted from the Conference playoffs and return to the FL where you should be, after what those Manc scumbags tried to do with your club. Pob lwc bois!

That is very nice, very festive, but it is going to jump like [censored] for us colour blind folk when watching them on MOTD. Green on red does go, but it goes better, and is easier on my eyes if it is binded with white or gold.

nice kit for the centenary of a welsh club

swansea are on of a couple of the ''smaller'' teams along with wigan that i like to see doing well

still debating whether or not the badge should have remained in white and gray rather than match it to the colours of the strip.....

i would buy it if i was a swansea supporter

Absolutely great kit. Love the badge. Should be their new crest honestly. Should find something else to put ("Swans" maybe?) where it says "Centennary" and then just change the date range from "1912-2012" to "Est. 1912."

Undertsand?
I meant for Swansea to wear at the aforementioned clubs, unless they're going to wear their home kit (with change black shorts at Stoke)

It's a good kit. If the club's going to represent Wales in the top flight, and as the primary Welsh club that international audiences are going to be largely aware of, they may as well wear the colors of the flag.

One of the best kits I have seen this year, most others have become plain in design and neutral in colour this is a fantastic and fresh kit to look at and all the best swansea next year from Scotland.

The uneducated/racist comments really are quite shocking. The Internet does not exempt you from the law.

Kick racism out of football full stop.

what racist comments are on here?
i've gone through each comment and can't see any. feel free to correct me, apologies if I am wrong.
but until I am proven I would like to suggest that you are the uneducated one.
before anyone tries to pull me up on my lack of capital letters, my shift keys are broken and i can't be bothered to continually toggle on/off capslock.

I think this kit is great. i'd have had white addidas stripes tho not coz i don't like red and green together, just coz it would have felt a bit more like a wales jersey. Great idea tho nice badge aswell
