This is the new Aston Villa 12/13 Macron away football shirt, which will be available here.
The vivacious away shirt features a round neck design made with a knitwear profile and in navy blue colour.

The upper flank inserts are in mesh, tone on tone fibres, with the lower insert in navy blue. Inside of the neck there is the printed lion in claret that personalises the size tag.
The kit, featuring a classic Italian style using the latest design technology, contain a number of innovative details.
These include a new embossed lion motif within the fabric to the rear and an embroidered club logo on the back of the neck.
Paul Faulkner, Villa's chief executive, said: "It feels very much like the beginning of a new era for Villa as we approach the 2012-13 campaign.
"We have a young, hungry and ambitious manager in Paul Lambert and fantastic new kits, designed by Macron.
"I know that Villa fans are particularly excited as we embark upon this vibrant new journey."

Snot on the villa
Quoting Simmmm:
I agree with you. these idiots have no idea how popular the EPL is in Asia.
No way. Changing the colour of badge to match a shirt looks cheap, especially when a full-colour badge is rendered in monochrome. The Villa badge carries the club colours and should always be in full colour. Having said that, the clash between the badge and the shirt colour is horrible- but its the shirt that needs rethinking, not the badge.
Negged!
Yes, it seems that when new companies come in to do a shirt for the first time it is really good. For example, Warrior made a great kit for Liverpool (by the way i am not a Liverpool fan
Seeing this combo everywhere.
This kit is embarrassing and I doubt any Aston Villa fans actually like it.

C'mon lads....
Onto the kit, it's.... eh. You won't get run over accidentally in it, I bet. Errea used just about the same shade of green in Brighton's away kit, but that actually looks pretty okayish. This effort is just bad.
Like the socks, though. Pretty funky. Shame the toilet bowls feature on them, just like on the shorts and shoulders. That's the one con Macron has against Nike; the overexcessive branding.

Cheap shirt. . I am sick of the sponsors of the casino.
I assume by 'wetsuit kit' you are referring to the new Liverpool away kit's similarity to an old fashioned deep-sea diver's outfit. The hoop around the neck and shoulders does have a maritime resonance but this entirely appropriate given the history of the city of Liverpool. That's a class kit and its done in a striking but understated colour palette. A lack of thought does seem to have gone into Villa's nuclear-waste green away kit- can't see how that is appropriate to either Villa or the city in which they are based.
Did Blackburn have a maritime resonance seeing as they had the Liverpool away kit years back?
Blackburn have never had a home kit in that style (see historicalkits.com) but plenty of clubs have had similar hoop-around-the-neck designs, Bradford City for instance who are also nowhere near the sea. However, if you read the article about the new Liverpool away kit on this site it clearly states that the kit was designed to reflect the city's heritage.
Because the yoked-design is similar to some traditional seafarer's costumes. Try not to show your ignorance in future.
So enjoy Umbro for this season (presonally don't like them since Nike took over, used to be a class company before being bought), 'cause Nike's getting their grubby mits on your merch next year.
I agree mate , dont want Nike kits at all . the material on Umbro is a 100% better than Nike IMO
C`mon you Villans!
However, this I hate. I'm all for imaginative combinations in what is a very staid league colourwise, but this is just horrible.
Go figure !
Im positively surprised, they dont look as bad as i thought.
good job!
Horrible colour , could of been sky blue or another colour instead of that !
This is horrible , it would been better if it was a skiyish blue, and it looks very championship-like. macron arent professional enough to make kits in the prem, they make them look like a championship team.. they'll be one next season anyway.
That is just very mean.
But correct..
