Bradford City 12/13 Nike Home Football Shirt

This is the new Bradford City 12/13 home football shirt made by Nike.

The kit consists of alternating claret and amber hoops with white shorts & socks. Apparently it’s almost identical to the club’s first ever kit worn back in 1903 – the year the club formed and played out their first league game against Grimsby Town.

Joint-chairman Mark Lawn said: “I’m a Bradford City fan through and through, and I, as well as everybody else associated with the club, want the success we so crave. Hopefully we will all unite as a club and gain promotion this season in our historic, claret and amber hoops.”

Thanks to Lee and Mal

Very smart kit. Strips on the arm look a tad too small, though.

the back spoils this kit a tad, other than that decent effort.

lovely job! but i agree the back should look continuous with the front. bit like ajockey top or cycling jersey from behind. but the front is very nice. pity i don't support them.

Nice 4 year old template :-*

So? Its a nice looking shirt (apart from at the back) and some obvious thought has gone into the history of the club in this design. What does it matter if its not the latest template?

Would have been better if the hoops went around the back. I hate it went stripes or hoops are only on the front and the back is plain.

Shame it is an old template but fortunately Bradfords colours freshen up the shirt.
Good to see the ribbon of rememberence on the shirt too.

Very nice shirt, the white shorts look great and hoops are a look Bradders have not played in for waaaayyyy too long. Not a big fan of the back panel (the football league names and numbers would have been readable on a claret amber background without the need for it), but thats not enough to ruin the shirt.

"back to stripes?" .. er we have worn stripes for years so hardly going back?

ALSO ITS CLARET AND AMBER!!! not maroon and yellow!!

guess we have no choice re the back ... however would be nice if the replica kit was hooped all around .. with the team kit having to use the plain back as per league rules??

They should sell a version with the hoops on the back for fans.

A beautiful example of how a lower league kit can be just as desirable as an elite teams kit. This one will be in Mr. Throup's wardrobe.

Given Bradford is an Asian town why not represent this in the top?

Islamic Green would be best, and there could be a minaret and mosque in the ground

Exactly, Macphisto. The fans replica should have hoops on the back, whereas the players version, which has to have legible numbers, can be solid on the back.

I was hoping to see a striped version like last year's but with straight stripes rather than jagged ones.

with the colours thay had, they could have done so much better. Very disappointing. And why do they have white shorts?

Whats with all the 'made in Pakistan' jokes, last time I checked, Bradford isn't the only place with an Asian community! Plus this has nothing at all to do with the kit, so keep your narrow minded racist views to yourselves or go find a BNP site to comment on!
