Bristol City have unveiled its new Adidas home kit for the 2012/13 npower Championship season, featuring the club's new Principal Partners Blackthorn.
The new City home strip, which goes on sale on Thursday, July 12th, sees the introduction of the colour black to the shirt. Traditionally a part of City's kits throughout its history, the greater show of black brings a powerful new look to the kit, which also boasts a vibrant red on the shirt with red shorts and red socks.

The new home kits will also feature Adidas Formotion, engineered to maximise freedom for the wearer and are designed to also optimise comfort. The new kits also have sculpted hem and leg openings to accommodate specific football movement, providing ultimate performance.
City midfielder Cole Skuse, said: "As a fan growing up there was always a sense of excitement when the new season's kit was launched and I think this new look from adidas is very dynamic and will please the supporters. It's certainly a hit amongst the lads."
The first time fans will see the 2012/13 home kit in action at Ashton Gate will be Louis Carey's testimonial match against local rivals Bristol Rovers on Saturday, August 4th (1pm).
Club captain Louis told the club website: "The new kit is superb and I'm especially pleased we'll get to wear it for the first time at Ashton Gate for the Bristol derby match. I can't wait to wear it."
Home shirts will retail at £45 for adults and £35 of juniors.
Last month, City announced Blackthorn as the club's first ever Principal Partner, who now sit proudly, in black, on the front of the new home shirts, as well as on the white away shirt revealed last month.
Replica junior shirts will, however, not carry the Blackthorn logo next season. To support the work of the club in the community, Blackthorn have donated the space on the front of City's youngest supporters' shirts to the Bristol City Community Trust.

oh btw, nice kit.
Speaking of which, can't remember City ever having had this amount of black on the shirt. Sure, black shorts and socks, but this is overdoing it.
In fact, the only positive thing I can say about this strip, is that there's no horribly corny "celebration" picture to accompany it.
Hull city's kit is Orange, this one is Red and Black. Hull City's kit has got a roaring tiger on the front, this one has got a couple of unicorns. Template, wtf...
For starters, go try 'n convince any Hull-supporter that the team is wearing orange.
My thoughts entirely. I'd love to know what colour they think it is.
N.B. If you think it's a shade of orange (gold, amber, tangerine etc) then guess what? IT'S ORANGE
plenty of hurr durr on this site.
Lets face it, it's more likely to be League One if they carry on as they have done.
terrible comment, don't bother posting again.
i think its a quality comment! and looks like your the minority so if i was you i wouldnt bother posting again
Haters gonna hate
Doesn't feel like a Bristol City kit.
Thanks to the sponsor, it's logo looks just like some rock/metal band's, so it's cool.
