Celtic Football Club unveiled its new 12/13 Nike away kit, which is available here
The 2012/13 season is set to be an extraordinary one, as Celtic Football Club, founded in 1888 will be celebrating its 125th anniversary. Nike has created special kits for this anniversary.
The away jersey is a modern classic, inspired by the club´s proud history. The jersey focuses on a contemporary design – it stays true to Celtic’s roots and is hooped, but in a more tonal way.

The hoops are coloured anthracite with black, giving the jersey a very contemporary and sophisticated look. The club crest is surrounded by a Celtic-knot work. The club’s Irish heritage is reflected with green, white and gold colour accenting on the sleeves and the socks which reflect Celtic’s strong Irish roots.
Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “We´re delighted with the new away kit for next season and we are sure it will be popular with our supporters. We very much look forward to celebrating our 125th year and the kits which have been developed are a fitting tribute to this milestone season.
"Once again, we would like to thank both Nike for their work in this regard and, of course, Tennent´s our shirt sponsor with whom we have enjoyed an excellent relationship and who have made such an important contribution to the club."
Steve Annand, Commercial Managing Director for Tennent Caledonian Breweries, said: “As main club sponsor, with an almost 40-year association with Scottish football, we were proud to play our part in the development of the new home shirt and feel this new away kit will be another winner with the fans.
Thanks to David

Prick
i may be irish yet i think its bad to see rangers in trouble.
i may be a united fan but its not the end of the world when city beat us.
but you sir are just an ignorant prick whose highest acheivement in life is avoiding an STD from your pet dog!
black or white we are all the same underneath!
some men just want to watch the world burn...
Smell yer ma ya orange prick, time for you to find a new team as yours is going down like a Romanian hooker.
Don't think you're in a position to judge somebody's spelling mate.
Our 1 star represents being the best in EUROPE not the best in scotland
Your 5 stars will be gone soon enough, cheating hun scum even the queen is sticking the boot in you lot. LMFBO Bye Bye Scotlands Shame, shit always gets flushed down the toilet.
Huns would know all about being unwashed as after all the only time you lot see soap is on a tv ad. Scotlands Shame= Rangers.
where's rangers BTW? Still applying for uefa license by now?
Only time you huns will see Europe is on SKY.
The four leaved clover, I give you that, that's a 'symbol' of irish roots, but the Tricolour? No way, mate.
Ireland has ALWAYS had a strong vocal point within Celtic.
do you ask the same question regarding rangers flying the Northern Irish flag? a flag which isnt even officially acknowledged as an offical flag for a country?
I know you are probably trolling, but i'll no bother taking you to school on this subject. Or if you are too ignorant to understand, best just to keep it shut, you cant cure stupidoty
indeed
There weren't too many options back in occupied Ireland with a bunch of racists charging people rent for small plots of land with dead crops on them. No wonder they wanted the Brits out! (And still do).
If you think what was done in Ireland to the natives whether Catholic or Protestant then you are probably the kind of person who supported Apartheid in South Africa and what is happening in the likes of Sudan and Palestine/Israel TODAY.
Hope they haven't dropped the Tricolour from the sleeves... they look bang tidy!
kim-ch smell !
Im from Ireland, and coming from a different country, of course there is going to be a difference in opinion regarding a load of things, but it always comes back to politics.
And in Rangers demise at this current point in time, my heart goes out to those true rangers fans who support rangers for their football and nothing else.
PS tricolor first used as Irish symbol 1830-something.
Read Kyle's comment you fool. Anyone can comment on this and its people like you who bloody ruin this with your old firm bigotry tribe. As for the kit, its lovely!
still as an accies fan hoping that nike give us a nice new twist to our kits next season, got his years home which was pretty nice but will be interesting to see how nike improve upon that
oh meant to say earlier than this, it's kinda plain as a shirt, could've done something a bit more interesting for the big 125th surely?
By all means recognise these anniversaries (such as Lisbon 67) and celebrate them, but don't get too caught up in it, try and make every season one to remember! As for Hamilton kits, I think the inclusion of red socks would spruce it up a bit
and not gold like celtic are marketing it?
yeh thought so, and who said irish were stupid
Oh dear, another short sighted comment based on a lack of historical knowledge. The official colour of the Irish flag is green, white and gold (albeit a darker shade than would normally be described as gold). This was chosen to reflect the various sections of the community that lived in the island of Ireland. White was meant to mean peace but that idea obviously didn't catch on. As it's their 125th anniversary season a small nod to their origins seems completely appropriate. Erin go bragh.
Actually the constitution of Ireland specifies green, white and orange.
If you know your history, Wicklow68, you'll know that in 1888 the Irish flag was green with a gold harp in the middle. And also it was part of the British Empire. Nothing to do with the current 'Republic of Ireland' who adopted the Tricolour of Green, White and ORANGE.
Simple fact is that Celtic are putting a flag of a completely different country on their kit. They might as well have the flag of Outer Mongolia on it as much relevance it has.
No doubt some of the worlds most offended will try and deflect and deny, have a look at Jock Steins treatment. Both clubs are a disgrace
Never heared so much shit in my life,Celtic are a global brand where as the huns are a global disgrace. If the huns die it would not hurt Celtic but be nieve and think the world needs the hun as you are living in a very small minded world.

Why do we need to comply? Who are we to comply to? Whats the problem with the "irish" element?
Not trying to have a tit for tat but when did having "orange" away kits seem sensible? What has "orange" got to do with RFC*? You'll be offended if you look hard enough at anything.
that's it more abuse coming my way.....
Only when it's either Old Firm, Hearts or Hibs. The other 38 senior teams in Scotland by and large don't go in for that nonsense.
Hibs don't partake in any sectarian abuse, thank you very much. Hibernian are very proud to have Irish roots, before Celtic existed, but they don't bang on about it. The clue is in the word 'roots'. It's in the past, not the present and that's where it should stay.
Don't tarnish Hibernian FC with the same muck and bile that Glasgow's Shame get involved in.
I actually really like this kit! Nike has come up with some really nice ones this year.
And I don't bother with all the Old Firm nonsense...I love Rangers and I love Football...end of!
Ill give the queen one then as you huns like a bit of man on man dont you?
Umbro are delaying the new Gers away top. They're monitoring the situation to see if they still "need to make one" for a club who may not be around next season.
Let's hope the 3rd kit doesn't disappoint.
Where's the Celtic cross?!?!
Very respectful of Celtic to be able to wear a black kit when they mourn Rangers next season.
Design on the shorts is nothing short of sheer class, it is up there with the cracking tartan numbers we had for the European kit when we went on that amazing European campaign, remember? Nah me neither. In my opinion the design should be in silver like the design going around the badge, and I think the Tennent's should be in silver or green, I don't think that the red does it any justice in regards to the colour scheme it is accompanied by.
Regarding this as the second top, this makes me almost certain that a third kit is going to be produced in order to rake the money in off stupid gullable pricks like myself who will buy anything and everything to do with the club. I honestly think we should allocate a timeless strip (I think the bumblebee) that should stay the same third/European kit each season and retain its design through the change of sponsors. We all saw the bumblebee when it had Tennent's on it and it looked the part just like the previous season, and was the perfect away top as it was unmatched by any team we came up against. It is time to let us keep what little money we have in our pockets for the time being without constantly churning out dud third kits each season.
Final point, I think the outcry over this tri-colour is pathetic and farcical, get over it.
I agree
the reason why soup kitchens were set up was to help the people coming over from Ireland because the protestant majority in scotland shuned the irish who came in because they were seen as a threat to their way of life and their jobs. Hence the undercutting of wages towards catholics, They were condemned to the east of glasgow which was a slum area for irish immigrants.
And the players were invited to play for Celtic to raise money for the starving Irish Community living in the east end of glasgow
If you are going to spout nonsense, make sure its actually factual!
Let me ask you this question, should the Scots who settled in Ireland "go home" if not, what is so different between them settling in ireland, than it is to the Irish who settled in Scotland.
At least Celtic has been open to all creeds since its inception also. Not like rangers and their anti-catholic signing policy which lasted over 100 years.
Theres no doubt that there is sectrian elements between both sets of support, but i find it hilarious that people like you come on and try and tarnish the other side, when your side have big enough problems as it is (rioting multiple times in europe in the last decade, having no money whatsoever).
Scotland is a bigoted anti catholic backwater country,so why would anyone want to mix with knuckle draggers who hate anyone thats is a none white protestant.
cheers for that dannyP..........

Not without good nor bad. .
A typical angry censored rangers fan with a lot of issues who yearns for Sandy Jardine to caress his little piss stick.
The only change I'd make: I like the celtic pattern watermark on the side of the shorts. I'd put it on the sleeves of the shirt.
European Cup 1967? Black and white TV's and pub teams like Linfield in the Quaters.....Diddy cup back then....On a par with the Ramsdens cup!
Oh yeah the union flag, the tricolour wasn't invented then ffs
Silly Celtic bastards!
You seem rather upset my little hun friend, anything to do with your team going tits up you thieving scumbags?
Craig Whyte's FENIAN army.
How can you support two teams dont disrespect manchester united!!!
they will lose eyepox and slurry park too.
oh well shouldnt have cheated in cahoots with the shady biased sfa and their roundtable/rotary club/masonic refs. u should be ashamed
our time is coming sevco 5088 fans and they're coming for u 2 shady sfa folk.
