Chelsea Football Club and adidas unveiled the new third kit for the 2012/13 season, which is available here.
The strip is a combination of flaming 'sun' yellow and black, and also includes the iconic adidas three stripe detail through the arms and a strong fading graphic to the façade of the chest.
The sun yellow colour may look familiar as it has adorned many Chelsea kits since the 1960s but looks more striking than ever in this modern and sharp design.

The striking sun graphic on the front of the black shirt creates a contrast in colours, giving the impression of power, while the fade in the graphic represents speed. The Chelsea badge is black and white and stands out against the sun graphic.
The 2012/13 shirt features the adidas Techfit™ technology in the playing shirt which is proven to enhance performance.
TechFit™ - The players' kit will incorporate adidas' cutting edge TechFit™ technology to help improve speed, increased endurance capabilities and enhanced awareness. This works by stabilising and focusing the muscles' energy to generate explosive acceleration and deliver maximum power output.
Climacool™ -The shirts also feature adidas ClimaCool™ technology, a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics which improve air flow to the skin in the key heat zones. Sun coloured mesh panel also feature on the sleeves of the shirt for better breathability in core sweat zones.
The new third kit will feature during the 2012/13 season and will be available to buy on 9 August. However fans can pre-order online here.

I know i may get many thumbs down for this but:
you only think it is bad because it is chelsea simple as that. If it was cheltenham's kit or even a neutral team's kit like oxford united or plymouth (random teams) then you would say it was a good kit.
Must be honest our kit (and Plymouth's home (not too sure about away)) are both better than that

Had this been a Burton Albion away shirt, then it could be argued that it was good that someone had bothered to design a unique shirt for them. However, Chelsea are one of adidas's top teams and they try to do something unique/different each year (ie. black/cyan and black/orange is the past 2 years). This shirt does not work in my opinion, and looks like a transformers reject.
I don't dislike the kit because it's a chelsea kit, I have nothing against chelsea, I'm also a liverpool fan but I don't like the 2 liverpool away kits.. I don't like this kit because it's terrible..

I support liverpool because it runs in the family, Liverpool was the first club I ever knew.. and I support cheltenham because they are my local club and I've been watching them since I was about 8 years old.
No, "i am ctfc" and "ctfcrobin" are different people he only supports ctfc and liverpool - which i can understand. If you support a lower league club like me, then you usually support/like a premier league team as well

No i support Kettering Town FC. Chelsea are a neutral team - i am just giving an honest opinion about what i think about the kit. You lot are saying it is a bad kit because it is chelsea and i get annoyed when people do that; for any team not just Chelsea

and today Chelsea have signed a wasp for £50 million, however the sting in the tail is that John Terry called it a f*cking stripy c*nt, the court case will begin on October 3rd.

The replica's are quite loose around the arms which make them look like a poor fit.
How come they don't sell the Chelsea tech fit kit? I know it would be £100-120 but they sell the Tech fit shirts of every other big Adidas club.

I really have to agree with that. Not the greatest third kit I've seen from CFC, but it's def. not the worst.
It looks a bit like a training top with a chelsea badge stuck on, similar to many kits these days unfortunately, but clubs change their kits too often these days so designing something different proves more difficult.
