Everton 12/13 Nike Away Football Shirt

Everton Football Club has revealed its new away kit for the 2012/2013 season which is available here.

The stylish black strip with striking yellow detail is the first Everton kit to be unveiled for next season with new technical partner Nike.

The shirt features a classic collar and is made from Nike Dri-Fit fabric which is lightweight and manages perspiration, keeping players dry and comfortable for 90 minutes and beyond.

The shirt is also part of Nike’s Considered Design programme aimed at reducing environmental impact, and consists of 100% recycled material.

This season’s away shirt was unveiled for the first time on Wednesday to an exclusive audience of loyal supporters who went to every one of the Blues’ home and away games during the 2011/12 season.

The dedicated supporters were not only the first to see the away kit but also enjoyed the opportunity to speak with Chief Executive Robert Elstone and Blues legends Graeme Sharp and Ian Snodin.

The strip will be officially launched on 23 June with a special event at Everton Two.

The Liverpool One store is currently closed for a summer refurbishment and will be officially reopened on the same day that supporters can get their hands on the shirt for the first time.

The full strip is available to pre-order online here. It will be available to buy on 23 June.

what a good looking kit.

it's nice to see a lot of sponsors allowing their colours to be adapted to fit in with the kit colours this year.

yes it's plain, yes it could have been designed in literally two minutes, but who cares... it looks good.

i'd LOVE nike to reveal how much time they actually spent 'designing' this!

You're right, it is teamwear - Nike's "Revolution" shirt to be exact. However, it is very nice and I'd much prefer this particular teamwear stuff than the bespoke junk Nike have given my team this year.

The design is identical to the Liverpool kit, in black. Same colour, same yellow for the sponsor and badge etc. Well funny.

simple and clean, very classy.

two points though: 1 - everton's badge would look so much cleaner without the word "everton" underneath it, why do they need it there? 2 - i wish the premier league would allow teams to have their own letters/numbers rather than everyone having to use the PL's own style. it wouldn't be an issue if they didn't look shit, the PL obviously don't care about their aesthetic. the same goes for the sleeve patches. italy and spain are way ahead on these things.

The previous PL font was horrible. This current one is a massive improvement.
Reply | Reply with quote | Quote

0 # 2012-05-31 13:37
The current font is fine. An improvement might be to allow more flexibility in the color of the font (as in Ligue 1, where the numbers actually use team colors). For example, Liverpool's new jerseys could have white numbers with gold details (as opposed to black), to match the gold Liver bird. Everton could have white numbers with royal blue detailing (as opposed to the black they'll have).

COYB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decent kit, with the old pre 2000 badge, but with a modern touch.

The training wear is decent aswell, and loads of stuff that will appeal to the lids, most notably the grey nike sweatshirts in the leisure range!

This top will definately sell well, especially with the lids to go with their north face clobber and 110s. As good as some of the lcs kits where, we're scousers and people aren't gonna wear that stuff. With nike - these kits and training gear will sell well! ;)

Classy. Just a thought though: Everton were known as 'the black watch' in their early years, which inspired the Puma black away kit of a few years ago. In the early years of many club's existence, colours were tried out that were very different from what we know now (eg. Man Utd as Newton Heath in yellow and green). Kit suppliers occasionally like to bring these old colours back as away shirts. This is definitely Nike's best club shirt so far - hopefully Everton's home shirt will be simple and classy too. And come on Liverpool fans, admit it: wouldn't you rather have Jelavic in your squad than Carroll?

I love the kits but at least with LCS the shirts went up to a 60" chest. The new Everton kit only goes up to 50", the larger kits have always sold well as nowadays we all seem to be getting bigger! Think EFC & Nike are mising a trick with this, I always buy home, away & 3rd kit plus quite often home GK shirt so that's £160.00 of my cash they won't be getting this year! :(

They've played it very safe with this one which I think is a good thing. Nike have overdone a lot of kits this year.

It is absolutely hilarious to see Liverpoool supporters hating on this kit, every one I have spoke to has said 'our new kit is brilliant, simple and classy.' Well this is exactly that. It's just funny to see that no matter what kit we bring out there will be a select bunch of kopites who will take time out of their day to slate it. Perhaps you should be take some time off from worrying about our kits and start worrying about Brendan Rodgers, John Henry and the 35 million pound donkey leading your front line.

True, no wonder Man u want David Moyes. He is efficiant in his buying players, same with Paul Lambert, Brendon Rodgers, Harry Rednapp and of course, Alan Pardew

I think these are going to be "second tier" kits - not the exclusivity deal that Man Utd, Barca, Celtic have with them.

So don't get too excited - yet.

Quoting King Warrior:
F**k off Gaz you prick!

Always hating on me all the time, and now hating on my team aswell??

Atletico Madrid, Aston Villa, and Celtic all get exclusive kits, and we're a bigger team than any of them, so we'll get the top teir kits along with Barca, Man utd, Juve, etc!

Quoting Gazhorn:
I will be accepting your apologies when we see Tim Cahill modelling a shirt that will be worn by every other park team on Hackney Marshes.

And who was hating on who? I simply stated that it would be a "second tier" Nike deal as the article states:

"Marc Van Pappelendam, VP/GM of NIKE UK & IRELAND"

A third party subsidiary, not an exclusive deal.

However I'm big enough to admit if I am wrong about this, which I hope I'm not as Everton deserve a bespoke Nike kit, not the cheap nylon knockoffs that teams like Palace and Aberdeen wear.

Now go and run along and troll on someone else.

Now I don't like to brag Mr. King Warrior, sir, but I think I deserve an apology...

Hey Gaz, the Waz man here with a quick response.......

Yeah fair enough this was Atletico Madrid's away shirt from 2009-10, and also, alot of our training gear is last season's!

On a more positive note however , our new home shirt uses the same template as Arsenal's and Brazil's current kits and isn't just some cheap tacky "second teir" design!

Everton deserve to be in the same catagory as Nike's bigger teams. We're without doubt one of the world's great sporting institutions, and a household name worldwide! We've also probably got the best away support in the country. And I'm talking 3,000 + scousers every time - getting up at the crack of dawn to jump on a coach to follow the mighty blues! COYB!!!!!

If Watford ever manage to return to the Premier League, and play at Goodison once again I'll buy you a pint Gaz...........

Finally a gorgeous kit. So glad that Everton have signed the sponsorship deal with Nike. so much to look forward to in the future now. Im an Everton fan and i am in no way biased but this has to be the nicest kit made at the moment. People will say its boring and plain and it does look like that at first but it looks like a classic and it isnt pink or a ridiculous shade of yellow. Most haters (mainly liverpool fans ) are just jealous because their kit is made by Warrior! HAHAHA :D
