leeds united 12/13 macron home football shirt

Leeds United revealed the new 12/13 Macron home kit. The white shirt will be worn with white shorts and socks, all of which are on sale from Saturday 5 May.

The shirt interprets the club colours in a unique style and has been designed by Macron, in conjunction with the club, in order to create a bespoke shirt that integrates a variety of different fabrics.

The main body fabric is framed with a royal blue piping whilst the neck features a Korean style collar made of ribknit fabric with the year the club was founded, 1919, embroidered in the back neck along with the club's moto 'Pride of Yorkshire - Agmine in Uno'. Mesh inserts on the side flanks regulate the body temperature guaranteeing maximum breathability.

The new Macron 2012/13 home shirt is available in adult sizes small to 5XL, priced at £40 and junior sizes small junior to XL junior priced at £36.

Is it true that this shirt was a practical joke that just got way out of hand?
It looks like a tabard!!
A tribute to the Yorkshire corner shop industry?

Believe it or not this is much better than I expected and much better than other macron "efforts." Shame we don't have Umbro like we did back in 91-92 which is what they are trying to replicate with a modern twist. Overall I like it.

They've made it look quality on Macron's we site

It's okay, but the side bit does look like a school dinner lady's tabard. If it wasn't for that and the shit blue trim around the bottom I'd think it was a nice kit.

I look forward to El Hadj Diouf parading himself around in it around Bellend Road.

The thing that doesn't work is the font on the sponsor. The lines are all soft and round and the sponsor logo has that horrid serif font. It is, I'm afraid, the sign of a club that has to kiss the sponsor's ass. And I'm a fan.

I'm quite a good advocate of Macron but what they've created with Leeds is weird.

Very curious cut, I'm guessing the sidepanels will be like a stretchy Lycra-type material to perhaps improve the fit around the waist?

In terms of looks, it is acually quite nice, but I always believed they should go back to the old-school "LUFC" script badge.
