A contemporary take on a vintage design, the new Leicester City home shirt by Puma combines the best elements of two footballing generations.

Inspired by the classic style of shirts worn by the Italian national teams of the 1950s, the home jersey is strengthened by the very latest in high-quality, performance-enhancing fabrics that provide durability without compromising on comfort.

This season’s second-choice kit – which will be worn by the first team during the warm-up ahead of Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Sunderland – sees City return to black, a colour popular with supporters in recent seasons, with the introduction of gold to the shirt, shorts and socks.

The shirt incorporates the very latest technology to ensure maximum comfort for both players and supporters. The V-neck collar and sleeves are trimmed with gold, along with gold-panelled side vents and gold detail around the high-definition, embroidered Club crest and on the distinctive PUMA cat.

The shorts feature prominent gold detail at the sides, with gold trim also featuring at the top of the socks.

The white-and-navy third strip set to go on sale on Friday 7 September.

Yet you still managed to write five particularly dull ones. 2nd and 3rd kits are smart. Love simple designs.

Hence "almost."

I like simple designs, too, but this takes simple to new levels.

Not being funny but these have been out for ages, mate of mine is sat in my office in the home shirt right now. He has sent the replica back twice already, really poor quality, all the sponsor letters keep peeling and falling off. Nice one Puma

The designs are nice and tidy, sadly though the king power logo is still peeling off the replicas. It happened last year with the burrda shirts so I'm not sure if it's the kit suppliers or if there's an independent company that prints the logo, either way it's a shame a simple problem like this hasn't been sorted out. As a Leicester fan i'd appreciate it if my shirt survived atleast two washes...please?!

The kits apart from 2nd R awful so for next season why don't the club and puma let the fans come up with ideas then submit there ideas to the club then narrow it down to the ten best designs and have an online vote

To me, Leicester kits are always missing 'something'; it's like they need a third colour to liven them up, like the red or yellow accents they had in the 90s.
