Lille 12/13 home away football shirts

As they prepare to move to a magnificent new stadium and look forward to another strong season at home and in Europe, Lille OSC have unveiled their new football kits, Tailored by Umbro. Worn by the Lille team throughout the 2012/13 season, the new home and away shirts have been created as a celebration of the whole community of Lille that comes together to support their club.

Check out this video for a behind the scenes look at the photo shoot for the new shirts.

Some of the teams players are pictured here with a dog, the symbol of LOSC because of its strength, fighting spirit and elegance. Elsewhere, different groups that represent the community of LOSC fans are pictured with the new shirts and the dog, tying them into the community and the club. Ballerinas from the Opera de Lille, construction workers from the club's new stadium and young players in the club's gym are all part of our celebration of Lille's community and how it ties the club together.

The club may be looking to the future, but they are always looking to remember their club's proud history and how it has shaped the team they are today. This is reflected in the new shirts tailored by Umbro for the 2012/13 season, which effortlessly blend the tradition of one of France's most historic clubs with the latest in modern materials and technologies.

Lille OSC 12/13 Home and Away Football Shirts

The new home shirt is in red with a stylish blue chevron across the shoulders and a smart v-neck collar, a reference to the classic jerseys the club wore in the 1940s and 1950s. Crafted from a lightweight, breathable material, the new Lille home shirt features an updated version of the club crest embroidered on the chest alongside the iconic Umbro double diamond. Comfort is also a priority for the new shirt, with the seams placed ergonomically to reduce friction and abrasion.

The away shirt follows the same design, but in white with a classic rich red colour to the chevron and collar, inspired by the shirts worn by the club in 1945 when they were known as The War Machine and won a historic league and cup double. Accompanied by smart shorts and socks, the complete kit guarantees that LOSC will be smart and stylish as they look for success in Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League next season.

To celebrate the new kits and the community of Lille that has inspired them, Umbro and LOSC are also launching an exciting opportunity to interact with the club. Fans are being invited to enter a competition to win tickets for the opening event at the club's new stadium, tying them into the fabric of Lille and celebrating the special connection between fans and the team. We'll have more details on how to enter later today.

The new Lille home shirt will be on sale today, allowing fans to wear the new shirt with pride all summer. The new away kit will be on sale from July 11th.

Thanks to Adam

Yet again proof that sponsors ruin kits. They should be made to maximum dimensions and limited colours, it's getting ridiculous!
F****** sponsorship and advertising EVERYWHERE these days

Even if it's big, I like the sponsor , it's many years that "Partouche" is Lille sponsor. The best thing is that it's not a colored rectangule with the sporsor inside , like other teams (just see Hearts' Wongai i.e.!) .
Yes, if it was smaller, it would have been better, but I like it as it is too.

About the kits: I like them, especially the away one
I think they're better than past year kits.
Great job Umbro! Keep on!

Despite the huge sponsors, both of these kits look great. The chevron yoke on both kits looks classy, and somehow understated and in your face at the same time. Plus the new crest looks beautiful. One of the best kits released for the 2012-13 season so far.

I think they're pretty smart shirts. Even though the badge is getting panned by a few people, I like that too. Nice touch giving them a MASSIVE collar stripe to go with the MASSIVE sponsor logo.

I actually like the kit. The weird necking actually gives the strip kind of a regal look too it. It's not something I have ever seen before, and I actually kind of like it.

A lot of people are hating on the sponsor, though. It's the same sponsor they have every year, and, truth be told, the logo doesn't look that bad, nor does it look terribly distracting. (I have seen much smaller sponsor logos look far, FAR worse.)

Being a LOSC fan, I first hated the home kit... and totally adored the away one. Anyway, I'm already used to the home one, and eventualy I like it a lot.

Their design are quite different from what I've seen before, and refer to Lille History. Historical colors from the two clubs which merged to give birth to Lille OSC are respected (white and red from Olympique Lillois and blue from SC Fives).

Well... I'm happy with'em
