Manchester United 12/13 Nike Away Football Shirt

Nike unveiled the new Manchester United Away kit for the 2012-13 season, which is available here.

Manchester United's Away kit for the 2012-13 season will see the side step out in a white shirt, black shorts, and white and black socks; colours that have long been used for the club’s second kit.

Buy Football t-shirts at footytees.com - New shirts every week

The stand out feature on the new shirt is the Henley Crew collar with a red detail and a button closure; this style of course being part of the heritage of the club but also a nod to the current youth style in Manchester.  The shirt also has a black monochromatic crest to compliment the design.

The shirt’s outer back neck graphic features the club’s iconic devil, as it is on the shorts. The shorts are a black tonal Gingham print in line with the new home shirt design.

The socks are white with a black top and again, the graphic of the club’s devil stands proud. The socks also offer a new and innovative design featuring an updated cotton footbed offering the support and comfort enjoyed by professionals to all that wear them.

Whilst the kit combines modern sport and youth style to give the club an iconic new look, Nike’s innovation gives the team our most technologically advanced kit to aid athlete comfort and performance.

You'll find the new Manchester United 12/13 home kit here.

I'll probably give the shorts a miss, but it's the coolest kit we've had in a while.
Aren't FSC a bit of the pace though? This has been shown in more detail on other sites, and was even officially launched last week in South Africa with the team there.

Why do clubs need a black/white logo nowadays? I don't see this on a United shirt, and certainly not when we previously have seen this on Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool shirts the last year(s).
Reply | Reply with quote | Quote

+9 # 2012-07-26 00:49
Honestly I think it's not a bad trend at all. It looks awesome when done right, like on last year's Arsenal home and the new Chelsea home. This doesn't look too bad at all, I think it looks better than the regular crest would.

I agree that it does look quite classy when done properly (as seen with Arsenal and Chelsea kits). But as mentioned, I just don't see it on a United shirt.
To be fair the Arsenal logo( 125th edition) featured an all red background (home shirt) making it harder to distinguish it from the regular logo :)

I'm pretty sure the replica kits have stitched badges on them, it's just player's kits that have the plastic ones for performance/comfort

This is a beautiful kit/design. As a Man U fan, I always find the away kit's are better design then the home, but I will be buying the both. Maybe one day nike can do a cetic and rangers design and make the sponsor small, cause sometimes the size of the shirt sponsor take's away from the actual design.

England national team kit?
And those things on the shoulders that nowadays Nike always puts in every shirt, simply awful.
Nike always makes awful shirts. The Man Utd first shirt looks like a table towel, the Inter Milano shirt is disgusting, the new Barcelona second kit in orange and yellow is the ugliest ever made, and etc. Fortunately my club doesn't wear Nike.

Here I comment kits, not clubs. When I say that some shirt is awful, I'm only commenting the shirt design.
My club already had shirts that I liked and shirts that I didn't like. And my club is SL Benfica, from Lisbon, that wears Adidas.

I don't like very much the main shirt that Adidas gave my club for this new season, but the black away shirt is great:

The best main shirt that my club already had was the one from the season 2008-2009:

Some other great shirts that my club already had:

- Season 2009-2010 second shirt:

- Season 2006-2007 main shirt:

- Season 2006-2007 second shirt:

- Season 2010-2011 Europa League shirt:

All the other shirts that my club had were uglier.
