Northern Ireland 12/13 Adidas Home Football kit

The Irish FA officially unveiled the new adidas Northern Ireland home kit, which will be available here.

The launch of the kit is part of a new long-term deal with world-renowned kit manufacturers adidas. The home kit comprises of a green shirt with white pinstripes and collar, white shorts and predominantly green socks and encompasses the traditional adidas three stripes on the sleeves.

Irish FA Head of Marketing and Communications, Geoff Wilson, said:  “We have a history of success with adidas that goes back to the 1980’s and it is fantastic to team up again with them.  We played in two World Cups in adidas kits and this new Northern Ireland range has a retro feel to it that we are sure the fans will love.  We beat Spain in the World Cup in an adidas kit and it is very apt that 30 years later we are now launching our new partnership that we hope will propel us to more success on the International stage.”

im republic too but now i don't understand why both national teams have white pinstripes!! the idea was to have 2 individual national team strips not 2 similar with different kit manufacturers!

The Ireland top doesn't have white pinstripes, they are an orangey colour. They aren't overly similar, but as both shirts are green there is always going to be a degree of similarity.

PS censored the ifa

It's a decent effort, though I'd prefer to see the pinstripes encircle the shirt.

My favourite Northern Ireland shirt is shown on the link below; I think it's one of the best international shirts ever made :

Northern Ireland have only ever worn green shirts with white pinstripes in on kit and that was early 90s. the 1982 shirt was plain green.

Plus there is also no ugly sponsor plastered on it, our football association should be ashamed of themselves for selling our shirt to the highest bidder.
