Plymouth Argyle 12/13 puma home away football shirts

This is what the Pilgrim will be wearing next season - Argyle's new Puma home and away kits.

Luke Young and Curtis Nelson were the first to get their hands on the bands across the chests of the 2012-13 design - white on green for the home strip, and green on yellow from the away version.

The broad horizontal design on the shirts - which also carry the name of sponsors Bond Timber on the front - is repeated, in green, on the side of the white or yellow shorts and across the white or yellow socks.

The home kit, which carries the name of sponsors Specialist Vehicles on the reverse of the shirt, will be worn by the Argyle players for the first time when the Pilgrims take on Portsmouth in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday, August 14.

The away kit, also sponsored by Pilgrims' programme publishers OPublishing, will get its initial outing in the npower League 2 clash at Dagenham & Redbridge a week later.

Argyle manager Carl Fletcher said: "It looks lovely.

"You want the players to feel special. When they come back for the first day of pre-season, it's nice for them to have it all sorted.

"All the little details make a big impact.

"Yellow away is alright, although a couple of the pastier lads might struggle. At least they'll be able to see one another."

The Green Army will be able to buy the Puma strips from the Argyle Superstore at Home Park before either match.

The kits will go on sale first from 9am on Saturday, August 11, although pre-orders will be taken in store, on line and by telephone from Wednesday, August 1.

Thanks to Mike and Matt

Like it. Impressed with Puma this year even if this is a template I think it works well. Shame that Ginsters no longer sponsor them

horrible. cheap - ill-fitting, absolute garbage.

you could go down to sports soccer and source a kit nicer than this - shove some badges on and boom.

this is shocking. worst EVER colour combinations.

didn't have to use the same template for both kits. looks kind of cheap and lack of effort put into them. :/

Well on behalf of Plymouth Argyle FC I apologise for having these as the official club colours. Perhaps next time you will inform us of your preferred choice of colours before we chose a kit.
Would you like them to wear blue or maybe orange just to suit you?

The Plymouth home kit will probably be the same kit HIbs use as their home kit this season, just with green socks instead of white.

Typical of Puma, they seem to be supplying everyone but the big boys with templates this season. Actually, I think even Newcastle's away is a template....

As for these two kits, we've all seen the Burnley kits, which are just pallete-swapped versions of these two. A very odd shade of green has been used, don't believe this is the Argyle green Plymouth is known for. The away kit looks worse with the yellow-green combo, which is usually pretty smart. I'm just thankful it's Plymouth's second choice, and not Norwich's home kit.

Clean, bold simple design. Good colour combinations. Nice. The cut of the shirts could be a lot better though.

Surely Plymouth Argyle should go back to that lighter shade of green , circa late 80s , that WAS Argyle imo

Bit too much white on the home kit for me and the shade of green is too dark (although in the flesh it's apparently not as dark or greyish as in these fairly terrible photos), the sponsor logo is also pretty poor and a lot worse than the one used last season, I don't know why they changed as they still use the previous on their website. Overall though they're not too terrible, my opinion's fairly neutral, we've had better and we've had worse, these will do.

Wrong shade of green - they should have made it more bright and vivid. And no white shorts! It looks tacky

Green is much brighter in reality just very poor photography. Argyle website shows them better with dark background.

Still hate both kits, and I'm an Argyle fan.

Rob, you may be an inbred but smuggling brings fresh blood. Stay optimistic and lay off the relatives. Paul was a mariner but he never went to sea, went to sea in a seive he did.
